Halloween Sequel Finds New Writer in Scott Teems

Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

Collider reports that writer Scott Teems (Narcos, Rectify) is currently in talks to write the script for a planned sequel to 2018’s hit film, Halloween, which was a direct sequel to John Carpenter’s 1978 original film.

Blumhouse Productions has not yet confirmed the news or announced the sequel. Per the report, stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak are expected to return. Jason Blum will produce the film alongside Malek Akkad.

The 2018 film was released last October. It has since made $159 million domestic and $253 million worldwide. It did fairly well with critics, receiving an 80 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The 2018 Halloween film was directed by David Gordon Green. It was written by Green, Danny McBride, and Jeff Fradley. You can check out 411’s official review RIGHT HERE.
