Collider reports that writer Scott Teems (Narcos, Rectify) is currently in talks to write the script for a planned sequel to 2018’s hit film, Halloween, which was a direct sequel to John Carpenter’s 1978 original film.

Blumhouse Productions has not yet confirmed the news or announced the sequel. Per the report, stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak are expected to return. Jason Blum will produce the film alongside Malek Akkad.
