Harrison Ford is set to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Thunderbolts, according to a new report. The Ankler’s Jeff Sneider reports that Ford is set to replace the late William Hurt as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the upcoming MCU film, with the usually-reliable /Film independently confirming the report.

If the report proves to be true, it will mark Ford’s debut in the MCU as the enemy of the Hulk. Hurt played Ross in The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Black Widow.

The confirmed cast thus far for Thunderbolts is Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Olga Kerleynko (Taskmaster), Wyatt Russell (US Agent), Hannah Jon-Kamen (Ghost), David Harbour (Red Guardian), and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine). Jake Schreier will direct the film, which is currently set for a July 26th, 2024 release.
