Jared Leto to Return as Joker For Justice League Snyder Cut Reshoots
Jared Leto’s Joker is making a comeback, as he’s set to return for the reshoots for the Justice League Snyder Cut. THR reports that Leto is set to return as the character he portrayed in Suicide Squad for the new cut of the film, officially titled Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which will premiere on HBO Max.
Production on the reshoots is currently underway for the film with Leto, Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher and Amber Heard confirmed for involvement in the reshoots. Leto’s Joker first appeared in Suicide Squad and was a polarizing part of the film, with his role being significantly cut down from the initial cut of that film.
The site also reports that according to sources, Jon Berg and Geoff Johns will not have producer credits on the Snyder Cut. The two have reportedly decided to remove their names because they didn’t work on this version of the film and are no longer studio executives. Berg and Johns notably have also been accused by Fisher of enabling the abuse that Fisher alleges took place on set by Joss Whedon during the reshoots.
The Snyder Cut is set to hit HBO Max in early 2021.
