Jeffrey Dean Morgan is known for getting violent in comic book adaptations, so it’s probably not shocking that he’d love to be in The Boys’ next season. Morgan, who played The Comedian in Zack Snyder’s Watchmen and portrays Negan on The Walking Dead, took to Twitter last week to respond to a fan question about his thoughts on the show. Morgan expressed his appreciation for the Amazon Prime series, as well as his willingness to join the series in a role.

In response to Morgan’s tweet, as you can see below, series creator Eric Kripke suggested he would write a role with Morgan in mind. Kripke and Morgan have worked together before, as Kripke created The CW’s Supernatural in which Morgan played John Winchester, the father of central characters Sam and Dean, in the first season. It is believed likely that Morgan will return sometime for the current, final season although that has not been confirmed.

The Boys season two arrives later this year on Amazon Prime. Based on the Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, it’s set in a world where superheroes are celebrities and a part of everyday life, but are much less noble and heroic than their public demeanor suggests. The first season starred Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Kapon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, and Elisabeth Shue.
