Marvel Studios Debuts Official Trailer for Ironheart, Launches on June 24

Marvel Studios has finally revealed the first look at the upcoming new television series, Ironheart, showcasing the adventures of Riri Williams, aka the armored superhero Ironheart. The new Disney+ series launches next month.
The upcoming new series stars Dominique Thorne as Williams, a young genius inventor who creates her own armored supersuit. The character first debuted in the 2022 hit film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, directed by Ryan Coogler.
Set after the events of that sequel, Ironheart pits technology against magic when Riri, who is determined to make her mark on the world after returning to her hometown of Chicago. In pursuit of her ambitions, Williams finds herself wrapped up with a mysterious yet charming individual named Parker Robbins, aka The Hood (Anthony Ramos).
The upcoming series also stars Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White. Chinaka Hodge is the head writer, with episodes directed by Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes. The series is executive produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Zoie Nagelhout, Chinaka Hodge, Ryan Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Zinzi Coogler.
Ryan Coogler said about the character, via a press release, “In 2016, Brian Michael Bendis created a character who would be a successor of sorts to the Iron Man legacy. In the comic book, Riri Williams and Tony Stark had a relationship—she was a student at MIT who came from an almost polar opposite background as Tony, but they came together in their passion to better society.” He continued, “Eventually, the character gets her own identity as Ironheart, and other writers like Eve Ewing picked up from there, taking Riri Williams to Chicago.”
Ironheart officially launches on Disney+ with a three-episode premiere on June 24, 2025.
