Matt Reeves Says The Batman Should Start Filming This Year

Director Matt Reeves has confirmed that The Batman should start production by the end of the year. Reeves did a Q&A on Twitter on Friday and, in response to a fan question about the film’s start date, said it was likely to begin filming around the end of 2019. This jives with a report in January that Warner Bros. was looking to start filming in November.

Reeves is looking for a new actor to play the role of the Dark Knight after Ben Affleck officially stepped away from the role in January. The new film will be a “noir-driven” story according to Reeves that will feature a full rogue’s gallery of villains.

Looking like sometime around year’s end.
