According to a report by CNN, Academy Award-winning actor, Morgan Freeman, is being accused of sexual harassment and misconduct by eight women. The report states that the misconduct claims range over several years on the sets of his movies or during media events for his projects.

One account comes from a production assistant who worked on Freeman’s film, Goin In Style in 2015. She claims that Morgan tried to lift up her skirt and see if she was wearing underwear and commented on her figure. She added that costar Alan Arkin saw the incident and told Freeman to stop.

There’s another person who has a claim for Freeman’s film, Now You See Me, who claims Freeman made comments about her body and another woman who was working on the film. Additionally, the woman claims that other female workers on set “knew to cover up” when Freeman was going to be onset.

Another claim comes from CNN reporter Chloe Melas. According to Melas, she interviewed Freeman during a media junket while she was six months pregnant. During the interview, Freeman allegedly told her hat she looked “ripe,” and apparently insinuated he wished he was there when she became pregnant.

The report by CNN involves 16 people total: eight of whom were victims; and eight who allegedly witnessed Freeman’s misconduct.

TMZ later reported a statement from Morgan Freeman on the report. You can read the official statement from Freeman below:

“Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent.”
