MTV Suspends Production on Catfish Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations
MTV has halted production on their reality series Catfish after host/executive producer Nev Schulman has was accused of sexual misconduct. TV Line reports that MTV has confirmed they have suspended production on the series after a young woman who appeared on the show’s fourth season, Ayissha Morgan, released a YouTube video accusing him of sexually harassing her.
According to Morgan, Schulman — who she refers to by the pseudonym “Jack,” questioned her sexuality and said, “I don’t think you’re a lesbian — I don’t think you met the right guy yet. Do you think I’m attractive?” She claims he wanted to share a hotel room with her and bragged about his penis size.
“We take these allegations very seriously,” a spokesperson for MTV said in a statement. “We’re working with Critical Content, our third party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation.” Watch the video in full below:
