New Black Adam Trailer Sees Titular Antihero Battle The JSA

Black Adam arrives in October, and a new trailer previews the antihero’s battle against the Justice Society of America. Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new trailer for the DC Film, which stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the titular character. You can check out the preview below for the film, which releases on October 21st.

The preview runs through a bit of Black Adam’s origin before showing him being viewed as a threat by the world. He ends up being hunted by the Justice Society — Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone — with plenty of superhero-on-superhero action ensuing.

The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra directed from a screenplay written by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani and stars Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Mo Amer, and Pierce Brosnan. It is described as follows:

In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam was bestowed the almighty powers of the gods. After using these powers for vengeance, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam. Nearly 5,000 years have passed and Black Adam has gone from man, to myth, to legend. Now released, his unique form of justice, born out of rage, is challenged by modern day heroes who form the Justice Society: Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher and Cyclone.
