New Motion Posters for Mortal Kombat Hype Tomorrow’s Trailer Release

The trailer for the new live-action Mortal Kombat movie finally arrives this week. In anticipation of the trailer, Warner Bros. has released a number of new motion posters for the iconic characters of the upcoming film. The trailer for the film will finally debut on Thursday, February 18.

The new motion posters release include Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sonya Blade, Jax, Kano, Shang Tsung, Mileena, Raiden, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and the new character, Cole Young. You can check out those motion posters below.

Mortal Kombat is directed by Simon McQuoid and stars Joe Taslim as Sub Zero; Ludi Lin as Liu Kang; Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade; Josh Lawson as Kano; Tadanobu Asano as Raiden; Mehcad Brooks as Jackson “Jax” Bridges; Chin Han as Shang Tsung; Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion; Max Huang as Kung Lao; Sisi Stringer as Mileena; and Lewis Tan as the lead character of Cole Young. It is described as follows:

Used to getting beaten for money, MMA fighter Cole Young is unaware of his legacy – or because Emperor Outworld Shang Tsung sent his best warrior, Sub- Zero, an otherworldly Cryomancer, to hunt Cole. Fearing for the safety of his family, Cole sets out to find Sonya Blade and Jax, a special forces major who carries the same strange dragon Cole was born with. Soon he finds himself in the temple of Lord Raiden, an Elder God and Protector of Earthrealm, who grants sanctuary to those who bear the mark. Here, Cole trains with seasoned warriors Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and devious mercenary Kano, as he prepares to take on Earth’s greatest champions against enemies of Outworld in a high-risk battle across the universe.
