Zendaya Joins Cast of Shrek 5, Will Play Shrek’s Daughter

Shrek 5 has added a new star to its cast in Zendaya. According to THR, the Challengers and Dune star is set to join the cast of the upcoming sequel, joining a voice roster that includes the returning Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, and Eddie Murphy.

According to the report, Zendaya will be playing the daughter of Myers and Diaz’s Shrek and Fiona. No word as to the plot as of yet.

Walt Dohrn and Conrad Vernon are directing the fifth film in the DreamWorks Animation staple series, which will be the first since Shrek Forever After released in 2016. Universal and DreamWorks Animation will release the new film on December 23rd, 2026.

The franchise has grossed (including the Puss In Boots spinoff films)) $1.6 billion in the US and $4.0 billion worldwide.
