New Trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu Features Battles with the Hutts & Imperials

Star Wars returns to the big screen in just three months with the new live-action movie, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu. Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm debuted a new trailer for the movie today. You can check out the newly revealed trailer and poster below.

Picking up from where the television series left off in its third season, The Mandalorian, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), and his foundling buddy, Grogu, are back to save the New Republic!

In The Mandalorian and Grogu, the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, as Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. To protect their fragile peace, the New Republic enlists the help of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and his young apprentice Grogu.

The new trailer offers footage of the Hutts, the bounty hunter Embo, who fans will remember from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Mando and Grogu exploring Coruscant, the return of Zeb Orrelios of Star Wars Rebels fame, once again voiced by Steven Blum, and more. It also looks like the Hutts will force Din Djarin to undergo various challenges and combat, forcibly removing his sacred helmet.

The upcoming feature also stars Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt, the son of Jabba the Hutt, and Sigourney Weaver portrays Colonel Ward. The live-action movie is directed by Jon Favreau and produced by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce, with a score composed by Ludwig Göransson, who also composed the iconic theme for the television series.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu hits theaters on May 22.
