During this week’s Disney+ Day event, Disney and Lucasfilm released a new short, behind-the-scenes featurette for the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series. You can check out the featurette below.

The new video offers an upcoming look at the show with some behind-the-scenes footage and concept art, along with some comments from star Ewan McGregor, who reprises his role as Kenobi from the Star Wars prequel trilogy, and director Deborah Chow (The Mandalorian). The new video also teases the return of Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, along with Kenobi and Vader clashing lightsabers once again.

In the footage, Chow notes that it’s not a safe time for the likes of Obi-Wan Kenobi, as there are “Jedi hunters” in the galaxy. Kenobi’s last task left is to keep the young Luke Skywalker safe. On the return of Hayden Christen, McGregor noted, “Have another swing at each other, might be quite satisfying for everybody.”

Obi-Wan Kenobi is executive produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor, and writer Joby Harold. The show also stars Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Plesse as Owen and Beru Lars, the aunt and uncle of Luke Skywalker. New additions include Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.

The series will debut exclusively on Disney+ later in 2022.
