Variety reports that Paramount Pictures has set release dates for their upcoming Paranormal Activity reboot, as well as the long-awaited Scream 5.

Scream 5 will debut in theaters on January 14, 2022. The film will be directed by Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not) from a script by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. It stars David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega. Neve Campbell is still in talks to once again play Sidney Prescott.

Meanwhile, Paranormal Activity has been pushed back from next spring to March 4, 2022. Not much is known except that Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day) will return to the series to help develop the new film. He has said, however, that he is not directing or writing. It was thought that 2015’s The Ghost Dimension was the final entry in the series, but you can’t keep a good horror franchise down.

In non-horror news, Paramount has also set a new release date for Snake Eyes, the spinoff of the G.I. Joe movies. That was moved from October 23 of this year to October 22, 2021.
