Warning: Spoilers follow for the finale of WandaVision.

Paul Bettany’s Vision soared back to screens in WandaVision, and following the show’s finale Bettany discussed what the synthezoid’s future in the MCU could be. Bettany spoke with Esquire for a lengthy new interview and weighed in on reprising the role in the Disney+ series.

Fans of the show know by now that while the Vision that made up the majority of the series’ events was a creation of Wanda’s and “died” when she undid her hex that encompassed the city of Westview, New Jersey, there is another Vision out there. That Vision was the restored body, now all-white like the “VisionQuest” arc that the series was loosely based on. That Vision was revived by S.W.O.R.D. operative Tyler Hayward without any of his memories or emotions, but was given his memories back during the battle of Westview by the Vision that Wanda created and then flew away.

Asked what Vision’s future might look like in the MCU, Bettany said, “Well, f**k. How do I do this without spoilers? I guess we’ve seen what happens to Wanda when love is taken away from her … And I wonder what that would look like with Vision.”

He continued, “I mean, that’s the thing, right? I’ve never had a loved one to lose… I don’t know what grief is because I’ve never had a loved one to lose. There is so much to get into with him because it’s been ten minutes here, ten minutes there, in the movies. Now we’re sort of just starting to sort of peel back some stuff.”

Asked if he’s willing to play Vision “forever,” Bettany said, “I love Vision. Yes, I’m in.”
