Paul Feig, who directed and co-wrote the unsuccessful 2016 Ghostbusters film, has weighed in on the new trailer release for the upcoming latest cinematic reboot, or sequel, to the franchise with Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Feig commented on the new trailer release on Twitter, and he had high praise for the trailer and new filmmaker Jason Reitman. You can read his comments below.

Feig wrote, “This looks so awesome. Huge congrats to @JasonReitman and his amazing cast and crew. I cannot WAIT to see this! #weareallghostbusters” Feig’s 2016 film starred Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones. However, it didn’t manage to find a lot of success at the box office, making only about $128 million domestic and $229 million worldwide off a reported $144 million budget.

The new movie from director Jason Reitman debuts in theaters on July 10, 2020. The film stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, McKenna Grace, Paul Rudd, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts and Ernie Hudson. Hereโ€™s a synopsis:

“When a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. You can check out the trailer below.”
