Rob Liefeld Says Extreme Universe Deal With Netflix Fell Through

Rob Liefeld’s Extreme Universe won’t be coming to Netflix after all. Liefeld posted to Twitter to answer fan questions about the status of his Extreme Universe adaptations, and noted that his reported seven-figure deal with the streaming giant reached an impasse last summer.
I get questions about @netflix all the time. After being at an impasse this summer, I took Extreme elsewhere for a better deal and fit. There is no Netflix deal. More soon enough.

The Extreme Universe was a creation by Liefeld during his days as Image, where he founded Extreme Studios (which eventually became Awesome Comics). The universe included six titles and over fifty characters from Liefeld, including Brigade, Bloodstrike, Cybrid, Re-Gex, Bloodwulf and Kaboom. This is the second deal that Liefeld has failed to come to terms on, with a previous deal between Liefeld, producer Graham King and Fundamental Films falling apart.
Liefeld promised “more soon” about wherever he is bringing the characters, which he said is a “a better deal and fit.” I can only assume it’s somewhere with a bigger pouch budget and an aversion to showing feet.
