Roseanne Barr Claims Her ‘Planet of the Apes’ Tweet Was About Anti-Semitism
As we reported weeks ago, Roseanne Barr sent out a racist tweet about former Barack Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, comparing her to an ape. The tweet offended many, and resulted in the cancellation of her hit show Roseanne. In a series of tweets yesterday, Barr claimed that her “Planet of the Apes” reference was really about anti-Semitism. She wrote:
Rod Serling wrote Planet of The Apes. It was about anti-semitism. That is what my tweet referred to-the anti semitism of the Iran deal. Low IQ ppl can think whatever they want.
