Speaking to The Wrap, former Buffy the Vampire Slayer series star Sarah Michelle Gellar was asked about the upcoming planned reboot for the franchise that’s currently being developed at Fox 21 TV Studios. According to Gellar, she doesn’t know anything about it.

Sarah Michelle Gellar stated, “I don’t know anything about it, honestly. I think that it’s a great story and I’m glad that it will get retold and hope that people will watch it. But, you know, I’ve told my story with it.”

She added, “For me the beauty of the show was the madness and horrors of high school manifesting in actual literal horrors. And I may look young, thanks to all my Olay products, but I don’t look like I’m a kid. (laughs)”

Monica Owusu-Breen is serving as writer, executive producer and showrunner for the new TV series. According to Owusu-Breen, the new show will be a ” ontemporary, building on the mythology of the original.”
