Ghostface is coming back for another spree, as Paramount and Spyglass have greenlit Scream 6 with the Scream directing duo returning. The two studios announced on Thursday (per THR) that a sixth film is moving ahead with Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who directed the fifth film, back behind the helm. The two will again work off a script from James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, with production scheduled to start this summer.

“We are tremendously grateful to the fans around the world who enthusiastically received our film. We can’t wait for audiences to see what Radio Silence, writers Jamie & Guy and Project X have in store for our Woodsboro family,” Spyglass and Paramount said in a statement.

The decision to move ahead with a sixth film comes after Scream has proven to be a major hit, grossing $63.3 million domestically and $107.4 million worldwide in just under three weeks so far against a $24 million budget.

No casting has yet been announced for the sixth film, which will be the second without original franchise director Wes Craven. The fifth film saw the returns of original three stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette along with a new cast that included Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Dylan Minnette.

Original franchise creator Kevin Williamson will be back to executive produce alongside Radio Silence member Chad Villella and Spyglass’ Gary Barber and Peter Oillataguerre. Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein and William Sherak will produce through their Project X banner.

“Working with such a wonderful and talented family of creators — and in the lineage Wes and Kevin so expertly built — has been the thrill of a lifetime, and we’re so excited to bring the next chapter in the Scream saga to life,” Radio Silence said in a statement.

Screenwriters Vanderbilt and Busick added in their own statement announcing their return, “Is this real life? Getting to collaborate once again with our friends on the next installment of the Scream story is more than we could have hoped for. We are overwhelmed that we get to continue to play in the sandbox that Kevin and Wes created. It is, as Ghostface would say, an honor.”
