The Fisherman’s Hook Is Back In First I Know What You Did Last Summer Poster

The I Know What You Did Last Summer legacy sequel is coming this summer, and the first poster teases the franchise’s signature weapon returning. Sony Pictures released the first poster for the upcoming film, which revives the 1990s slasher franchise and bows on July 18th.

You can check out the poster below, which features the fisherman’s hook from the previous films already dripping with blood. The new film is directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson from a script by Leah McKendrick with original stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. returning. They’re joined by new cast members Billy Campbell, Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, Jonah Haur-King, Lola Tung, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Austin Nichols, and Gabbriette.

The film is described as follows:

When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge.

As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.
