Vince Gilligan Working on Breaking Bad Movie

Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan is working on a two-hour filmm extension of the series, according to a new report. THR reports that Gilligan is writing the script for the film, which will be set in the existing franchise and, according to the site, involved “the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.”

At this point it is not known whether the film will be released theatrically or air on AMC, nor how it specifically relates to the Breaking Bad franchise. Production kicks off next month in New Mexico.
