Marvel Television finally debuted the official trailer for the long-awaited Wonder Man series. The new eight-episode series debuts later this month on Disney+, and you can check out the newly revealed trailer below.

The new series is created by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Spider-Man: Brand New Day director Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest. The series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Marvel’s Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man, along with Ben Kingsley, who reprises his role as Trevor Slattery from Iron Man, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and All Hail the King.

In Wonder Man, Williams is a struggling actor trying to get his career off the ground. In a chance meeting with Trevor Slattery, an actor whose biggest roles are likely behind him, Williams learns that the legendary director Von Kovak (Zlatko Burić) is remaking the superhero film, Wonder Man. However, as shown in the trailer, Williams harbors a secret, as this struggling actor has genuine superpowers.

The synopsis reads, “These two actors at opposite ends of their careers doggedly pursue life-changing roles in this film as audiences get a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry.” It looks like Marvel Studios will even reference current industry trends and its own recent decline by referencing “superhero fatigue” in the entertainment marketplace.

The new show features an original score by composer Joel P West. All eight episodes of the series will debut at launch on Disney+ at 9:00 pm ET on January 27.
