411’s TNA Impact Report 4.19.07

-We get a video recap of last week’s show.

-West welcomes us to the show.
-Tenay is in the ring and brings out Jeff Jarrett. West puts over that JJ has been off dealing with personal issues. Tenay says he returned and took out JJ with the guitar, and he shocked everyone. Then Sunday in the Lethal Lockdown match he proved he was a new man and gave Sting the NWA Title shot. JJ says during his time off, he reflected and knew he had to change. It isn’t all about him, and time for him to give back. He looks back over his career, and his TNA career…and looked back over the last 17-days and he realizes he needs to give back. Sting came back and just has given back, and that is what I want to do. Step one was last Friday, step two was at Lockdown and step three will shock people.
-Kurt Angle makes his way out to the ring now. He says JJ came back to make things right. Well Angle invited him back, took all of the gruff from his team and fans. No one trusted him, but Angle. He had everything to lose and this is the thanks he got. You gave Sting the title shot, the same Sting the hated and doubted you. Make things right with me. JJ says he doesn’t have to do anything for Angle, he joined the team and helped them win the match. Sting was in the right place at the right time. Angle says he is now in the wrong place at the wrong time.
-Sting now comes to the ring, JJ leaves. Sting says Angle now has a problem with him. For the last 6-months he has been busy with Abyss, and all I hear is you talking like you are the leader here. JJ as been in the business for 20-years, and so have I. You’ve been here less than 10-years. If it wasn’t for us paving the way, you’d be a gold medal gym teacher! If you want a shot at Cage, then you and I will face next week and the winner gets the title shot.
-Team Cage is in the back and happy. He got a shot at the tag titles, and Abyss will be his partner. They then all make fun of Abyss and say he embarrassed them at the PPV. Tonight if Cage doesn’t have title belts, well, this is Abyss’ last chance.
Daniels has the Sting mask on and the bat as well. Daniels and Joe to kick things off. Kicks by Joe, misses one and Daniels with a headlock. Off the ropes and a shoulder block does nothing. Joe nails him with a right and Daniels is down. Choke by Joe, Daniels fights back and gets some forearms. Off the ropes and an atomic drop by Joe, off the ropes and Daniels tags in Rhino. They stand off, they exchange forearms, AJ tags himself in and tells Joe to hold Rhino, so he lets go. Rhino with rights to AJ, off the ropes and a backdrop. Tag to Joe and Rhino holds AJ, kicks by Joe. Snap mare, chop, kick and the knee drop. Rights by Joe, eye rake by AJ and a tag to Daniels. AJ and Daniels argue, Joe battles back and they double-team him. Running knee by Joe to Daniels. Tag to Rhino and he takes out Daniels and then AJ. TKO to AJ. Spine buster to Daniels gets 2 as AJ saves it. Joe tosses AJ to the floor and follows. Rhino slams Daniels, goes for the gore but Daniels kills him with the bat, covers and that is all.
Winner: Christopher Daniels @ 4:00 via pin
-After the match AJ and Joe battle and Joe clears him out.
-Back from commercial and JB is with Angle. Angle says Sting was full of shit, and Sting made a mistake, you challenged Kurt Angle. Less than 8-years in the business means I am in my prime, and I will push you aside, that title shot is mine.
-Jackie hits the ring and attacks Gail. They brawl into the crowd.
-Back from commercial and Roode Inc make their way to the ring.
Roode attacks at the bell as Brooks distracted Harris. Roode chokes him out, chops follow. Off the ropes and a back elbow by Roode, a slam and cover for 2. Off the ropes, a clubbing right by Harris, stalling suplex and escape by Roode and a neck breaker connects for 2. Storm is out watching from the ramp. Storm and Harris will face at Sacrifice in a Texas Death match. Harris gets a lariat to Roode, lefts and an Irish whip…bulldog and a cover for 2 by Harris. Brooks yells at Young on the floor, boot by Roode and ff the ropes, CATATONIC by Harris connects, but Brooks pulls the ref to the floor. Roode grabs the handcuffs Harris brought to the ring and nails Harris. 1…2…3.
Winner: Robert Roode @ 2:35 via pin
-Young and Brooks argue and Young tosses her to the floor. Roode slaps young and rolls him into the ring. Roode is tired of Eric trying to make a fool of him. He knows he is cheering for his opponents, and he tried to screw Roode at Lockdown. He wants to know if he is mad that he beat up his friend. Eric laughs and says Petey wasn’t the friend. Roode says he has no friend, but if he does he wants to know who it is. Young refuses, and Roode says he is giving him 7-days to tell him, or he will fire him next week; because it pays to be Roode.
-Backstage Mitchell yells at Abyss for being a moron. Mitchell says tonight he has to succeed and bring gold to Christian, because this is the last chance. If not, his mommy will go to prison.
-Back from commercial and we see some Paparazzi. Machismo is here. Shelley makes a Kaz Hyashi joke, and then tells Shelley that Dutt and Machismo will go over for the 3-way title shot. Dutt has on the DIESEL OUTFIT~! Dutt is pissed and says Nash has nothing for him, and all he is, is now a joke.
-Tenay and West are joined by LAX and Konnan.
-We get a video pf the Electrified Steel Cage match from lockdown.
Cage and Devon to begin, Cage in control with rights, off the ropes and a shoulder lock by Devon. Rights by Cage again, Devon fights back with rights and off the ropes, back elbow by Cage. Cage climbs the ropes, but Devon gets a neck breaker off the 2nd rope for 2. Ray in, off the ropes and a side slam/leg drop combo for 2. Cage crawls and manages a tag to Abyss, and he and ray stand off. They brawl as hector Guerrero watches on, Abyss and Ray brawl, Abyss takes him down but Abyss fight back with rights, off the ropes and a Uranage by Ray for 2. Tag to Devon and a double flapjack connects for 2. Off the ropes and a boot by Abyss and then a clothesline by Abyss. Tag to Cage, up top and a right to Devon. Cage chokes out Devon, snap mare and kicks by Cage. Tag to Abyss and Cage shoves him and tells him what to do. Rights to Devon, Irish whip and Abyss misses the corner charge and Devon gets a clothesline for 2. All 4-men in now, huge backdrop by ray on Cage and Devon with rights follows. They pair off, Abyss takes Ray down and grabs Devon on his shoulders and Cage up top…Devon escapes and shoves Abyss into Cage, who falls to the floor. 3D on Abyss and that is all.
Winners: Team 3-D @ 5:30 via pin
-After the match, age berates a beaten Abyss.
-Back from commercial and Cage is still bad mouthing Abyss. Abyss GOOZLES him, and then lets go as Mitchell yells at him. Cage slaps and spits on him and Abyss beat shim down. Shock treatment try, Mitchell yells at him and he lets Cage down. Mitchell slaps Abyss and he GOOZLES him! Team Cage hits the ring and they al attack Abyss. Konnan loves this on commentary, and Abyss battles back and starts to clean house! He stalks Mitchell and Mitchell has the phone and threatens to call the police…BLACK HOLE SLAM ON MITCHELL~!
-Abyss goes under the ring and gets the tacks. Tomko in and so is Steiner and they beat down Abyss. AJ in with kicks as well and Cage has a chair. Nails Abyss! Team Cage celebrates, Tomko has the chair and Abyss is busted open. Tomko absolutely kills him with the shot. Steiner has the chair and nails him as well. AJ has the chair and leaps and nails Abyss, who is now bleeding badly. Steiner and Cage with more chair shots and AJ has a barbed wire bat! Konnan loves it. Cage nails him in the arms with the bat and he is SLICED in the arms, damn! They lay him on the chair face down and put the bat under his face…CONCHAIRTO~!
-Abyss is left a bloody mess.
-We get the closing wrap up video do hickey.
