411’s WWE Bring It To The Table Report: 05/08/17

-The Penguins crapping the bed in Game 6 has me rather annoyed so I need something to kind of clear my head, and thankfully, we have a new episode of Bring it to the Table to distract me.

-Off to a roaring start as Rosenberg and Graves introduce themselves while mentioning the controversy around things they have said and JBL just mentions he won money at golf last week. See, it’s funny because JBL has been raked over the coals for being a bully and they want you to think they are going to mention it here, but they make jokes. HA HA! I am going to hate this show this time it seems.

-Peter Rosenberg is your host and he is joined by Corey Graves and JBL. They start with The Hot Start Segment.

-First is AJ’s comments on Talking Smack when he said “SmackDown makes ’em and RAW takes ’em.” He basically called out the WWE for stealing from SmackDown to make RAW better. Graves doesn’t think AJ has a point and says he doesn’t agree that SD is better than RAW. What is he smoking? JBL says SmackDown has always been the better show, and says it is head and shoulders a better show. Rosenberg brings up that SD is the wrestling show and RAW is more entertainment. Graves agrees, and they quickly move on to the next topic.

-House of Horrors and JBL is nuts as he thinks it was a great match. He thinks the crowd reacted that way because it is hard to watch something in the arena. He then gets off that match and talks about how horrible The King of The Road match was in WCW (Rosenberg mentioned in earlier as a way to throw more dirt on WCW’s corpse). I would gladly watch that match a thousand times before I watch that abortion that was The House of Horrors. He says you have to try things and sometimes they work or they don’t. He thinks the match worked for the TV audience and it didn’t for the live audience. Corey says nobody knew what to expect and admits the live crowd hated it. He doesn’t think the fans got what they were hoping to see. Graves was also a fan of the match which is sad.

-Yay or Boo segment. Rosenberg boos the Superstar Shake-Up as he wanted a kind of draft where they explained things instead of guys and girls just showing up. Graves thought it was good, but hated that Charlotte was taken off RAW. JBL as you would expect loved it and thinks it gives the guys and girls something new to sink their teeth in.

-Yay or Boo The Welcoming Committee. JBL is all for these ladies on SD as it gives them something to do that has meaning. Graves says “boo” as he feels it was just thrown together and it will hurt the division.

-Yay or Boo The Titus Brand. Rosenberg is excited to see what Titus can do as a manager, and Graves is also a fan. He calls Titus entertaining as he is great on the mic even if he is lacking in the ring. Since when is he great on the mic? JBL boos as he feels Titus is too big to be a manager because he dwarfs anyone he manages.

-They discuss if Alexa is bigger than the 4 Horsewomen. JBL compares her to Kurt Angle as someone who picked up the business quickly. Oh come on now! Graves remembers her in FCW and while he won’t say she is bigger than the Horsewomen he is impressed with how fast she has risen.

-Next they have the balls to asks if Reigns/Braun from Payback is The Match of the Year. Are you serious? They take time to blow Reigns for getting the best out of Braun in the ring. JBL talks about how Reigns has had great match after great match and people have the right to boo, but they don’t know why they are booing. Rosenberg thinks people who boo Reigns are basically doing it out of jealousy because our wives all want him while we are out of shape and sit on the couch. I hate this show so much right now!

-They talk about Shinsuke and Rosenberg is annoyed he isn’t wrestling yet. JBL thinks Rosenberg is being stupid as you don’t need to see Nakamura wrestle every week. He is a draw and needs to work as a special attraction. Graves agrees as the NXT fans are a small portion so they have to get those not familiar more familiar with him. For some reason Rosenberg makes a big deal out of JBL calling Nakamura, “Shin.” Graves verifies (tongue in cheek) that JBL and Shin are good friends.

-Don’t Get Hot Segment and first they talk about Sheamus saying the Attitude Era doesn’t come close to what they are doing now. JBL says that Sheamus should take pride, but he is nuts if he believes that. JBL calls the roster they had in the Attitude Era the greatest ever. Graves thinks the current roster is the deepest, but they don’t have that guy on the level of The Rock and Austin. Rosenberg talks about how the ratings were better back then, but only because there were only 5 channels. Now they have more to compete with and they are still putting up great numbers. I’m at a loss for words for how much crap is being spewed on this show.

-Next is Rusev taking a shot at The Indies. Graves says that he would have been hot about this 6-7 years ago when he started in FCW. They used the Indies as a way to measure their passion and they would look down on a guy like Baron Corbin. He then sat with Corbin for 4 hours in a car and it opened his eyes as he picked his brain to learn about the Indies. JBL feels the guys should learn as much as they can, but being in the minors for 15 years shouldn’t be a badge of honor. He says that until AJ Styles got to the WWE we never would have considered him the best in the world. Get the hell out of here with that garbage.

-They babble about Rosenberg’s shoes from Mania and I don’t give a rat’s ass so I just tune it out and wait for the commercial break. For some reason they cut back just so we can hear JBL say he would rather be captured by ISIS than have dinner with Sami Zayn. Yep!

-Dig It segment and they start with Glenn “Kane” Jacobs running with mayor in Knox County, Tennessee. They even show one of his political ads and it is the best thing that I have seen on this show. The fact his campaign logo is in black and red and has a flame is tremendous. His slogan is “Lighting the Way for Our Future.” Again, tremendous!

-They discuss Sami tweeting about Montreal Hockey and KO’s dad supporting him, which caused Owens to respond and be upset with his dad. Graves mentions that he loves hockey and gives out a shout-out to his Penguins (they need all the help they can get right now sadly). JBL says he would have rather have his eyes poked out than watch hockey. I hate him so much right now!

-Rosenberg brings up that Luke Harper has a blank tank-top on WWE Shop and it is just glossed over as Graves and JBL have nothing to add. They are stretching for things to talk about now.

-Favorite themes in the WWE: Graves likes “Evolution” and Rosenberg is all about Sasha’s which he sings.

-Vince’s birthday tweet to Cena where he called him The Babe Ruth of Wrestling. This show is falling off a cliff as we don’t even really get a response from JBL or Graves.

-Rosenberg puts over the IC Title and says it has been restored on RAW. I hope this man is getting paid a lot of money to sell his soul like this. I mean, they #1 contender’s match last week was great, but they are getting carried away here. JBL is happy to see it back in prominence.

-Big Finish is all about Jinder Mahal and Rosenberg is all for it. He thinks Jinder can be WWE Champion. JBL puts over that SmackDown gives chances and it is up to Jinder to make the most of it. He compares it to the chance he was give with Eddie. He calls Jinder a marketer’s dream because of the over 1 billion people in India. Graves is taking a wait and see approach as he brings up he was once part of 3MB before being realized. JBL thinks Jinder will deliver and thinks he is a future WWE Champion.

-Thankfully that ends this edition.

-By far the worst show of the series as they are running out of things to talk about and they are just spewing nonsense. Rosenberg is horrible, Graves is tolerable, and JBL just says whatever the company line is, and shouts down anyone who doesn’t agree. Just a brutal show to watch!
