– A video package aired focusing on the WWE and World Title matches.

MVP vs. Matt Hardy for the WWE United States Title
The two traded control early on. MVP took control with a wristlock then moving into a hammerlock. Fans chanted for Hardy who responded by sending MVP to the floor. Hardy hit a high risk move and then sent MVP back to the inside where he covered for a two count. MVP fought back with a forearm followed by a hiptoss which got a two count. MVP got a crossed arm camel clutch onto Hardy but Hardy reversed out of it and into a test of strength. While in the hold, they exchanged headbutts which eventually led to Hardy hitting a vertical suplex. MVP got contol back after catching Hardy going up the turnbuckle. He nailed Hardy with a drop toe hold and kicks to the head, getting a two count in the process. Hardy fought back with forearms and hit a clothesline shortly after. Hardy then tried to go to the top but was met by MVP who hit a top rope superplex. He covered Hardy but only got a two count. MVP remained on the offense until he went for another superplex but Hardy countered into a two count. After a missed bulldog attempt, Hardy went for the Twist of Fate which was reversed into the Playmaker which was again reversed into the Side Effect which got Hardy a two count. A small package also got Hardy a two count. MVP fought back and threw Hardy into the corner and hit a running kick. Hardy fell, hitting his head on the bottom rope. MVP then hit the Playmaker for the win.

– Todd Grisham interviewed Dusty Rhodes. Rhodes cut an old school style promo saying that he is gonna knock somebody’s head off tonight and that Randy Orton needs to learn about respect.

Chavo Guerrero vs. Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Funaki vs. Jamie Noble vs. Shannon Moore for the WWE Cruiserweight Title
Everyone started the match at once with whoever getting the first pin winning. After the bell rang, Hornswoggle ran out and hid under the ring apron. A lot of random brawling to start. Chavo got quadruple teamed and thrown out of the ring, followed by Funaki hitting a flying head scissors on Noble and Yang hitting a rana on Moore. Chavo eventually went for the three amigos suplex on Yang but Yang turned the third attempt into a suplex which got him a nearfall. Towards the end, Chavo caught Yang on the turnbuckle and went for a superplex but Noble grabbed Chavo and attempted an electric chair spot. This turned into Yang getting superplexed by Chavo who was given the electric chair by Noble. Hornswoggle then ran out from under the ring and hit a top rope splash on Noble for the pin. After the match, all the cruiserweights looked shocked at Hornswoggle winning and tried to go after him but he managed to escape.

– The Triple H video package aired.

– A Bobby Lashley video package, focusing on his US Title win over JBL and ECW Title win over the Big Show, aired.

Sandman vs. Carlito in a Singapore Cane on a Pole Match
Sandman came out with no beer. Jerry Lawler commented on how there is “something different about him.” Sandman and Carlito had a brief apple spitting incident prior to the match. Sandman got early control with a hammerlock. Sandman went towards the pole but Carlito rammed him into the turnbuckle. Sandman regained control by backdropping Carlito to the floor. Sandman climbed the pole but Carlito knocked him down. He stomped away at Sandman and then attempted to go up the pole himself. Sandman stopped him. Carlito fought back with a dropkick and then a vertical suplex. He again tried to climb the pole but Sandman grabbed his leg. Carlito managed to break free but Sandman came back and threw Carlito down off the middle rope. Carlito again attacked Sandman and tried to climb the pole but Sandman once again got to him. Carlito then went for a springboard elbow off the middle rope but Sandman ducked out of the way. This gave Sandman the opening he needed to climb the pole and grab the cane. Sandman swung at Carlito who ducked and then hit the Backbreaker for the pin. Sandman glared at Carlito after the match.
Winner: Carlito

– Todd Grisham interviewed Randy Orton. Orton mentioned how today is Shawn Michaels’ birthday, but Michaels doesn’t even know it because of the concussion he gave him. Orton vowed to do the same thing to Dusty Rhodes tonight.

Candice Michelle vs. Melina for the WWE Women’s Title
The two swapped control early on. Candice took control midway through, hitting a dropkick followed by a clothesline for a two count. She then hit a flying bodypress from the top for another two count. Melina fought back and hit a neckbreaker which got her a two count. Candice again took control with a clothesline, but missed a spinning heel kick. Melina used the opening to lock on a sleeper hold. Candice broke out with a jawbreaker and then went for the Unprettier but had it blocked by Melina. Candice managed to then hit a standing bulldog from a side headlock for the pin. Jerry Lawler called the new move The Candy Wrapper.
Winner: Candice Michelle

– A WrestleMania 24 promo aired.

– Matt and Jeff Hardy talked backstage. Matt told Jeff to stay focused tonight. Candice Michelle then entered and seductively poured water all over herself. The Hardys watched on, distracted. Ron Simmons then came by and said DAMN.

Umaga vs. Jeff Hardy for the WWE Intercontinental Title
Umaga took control right away, sending Hardy to the floor where he rammed him into the ring apron. Back in the ring, Hardy fought back with a jawbreaker but Umaga responded with a Samoan Drop. Umaga continued to dominate Hardy who could not mount an attack. Umaga pounded away at Hardy. At one point, he hit back to back Bonzai Drops on Hardy but missed a third attempt. Hardy tried to hit a high risk move but Umaga caught him and nailed a sidewalk slam for a two count. Hardy finally got the opening he needed after Umaga missed a second rope headbutt. Hardy hit a mule kick followed by a DDT. Umaga then charged Hardy who pulled down the second rope, sending Umaga to the floor. Hardy then hit a baseball slide followed by a pescado. Back in the ring, Hardy hit a dropkick to Umaga’s face for a two count. Hardy soon there after hit the Whisper in the Wind for another two count. Umaga got control back and sent Jeff into the corner. He then charged but Jeff moved out of the way and Umaga rammed himself into the ringpost. Hardy hit a Swanton Bomb but only got a two count. Hardy went for the Twist of Fate but Umaga pushed Hardy into the corner and then hit a superkick. He then rammed him in the corner and then hit the Samoan Spike for the win.

– A video package of John Cena aired, going over his career highlights.

John Morrison vs. CM Punk for the ECW Title
Punk locked on a hammerlock early but Morrison fought back and hit a back elbow. He then got Punk in a side headlock. Punk again countered and got Morrison in a rear chinlock. Punk hit a slingshot suplex for a two count. Punk remained in control, hitting a forearm, snapmare, and a clothesline. Morrison fought back with a legdrop and then got Punk into a body scissors. Punk tried to get out of it but Morrison hit a facebuster for a two count. Morrison positioned Punk on the turnbuckle for a superplex but Punk pushed him down and then hit a splash. Punk followed that up with a series of kicks. He then hit a clothesline. A flapjack got Punk a two count. Punk hit an enzuguri kick which also got a two count. Punk went for a bulldog but Morrison slipped out of the ring, grabbed the ECW Title, and attempted to leave. Punk went and got him and tossed him back into the ring. He attempted a springboard clothesline but Morrison responded with a stiff looking kick to Punk’s knee. He then cradled him up for the pin. After the match, Punk grabbed his knee in pain.
Winner: John Morrison

– A video package aired going over Dusty Rhodes’ induction into the WWE Hall of Fame and his history with Randy Orton.

Randy Orton vs. Dusty Rhodes in a Texas Bull Rope Match
Orton stalled outside the ring for a bit at the beginning which helped trigger a “Dusty” chant from the crowd. Orton then got in the ring but refusd to get tied to the bull rope. He delayed for awhile. The match finally started with Rhodes getting the early advantage with two bionic elbows. Orton got the rope in between his legs which allowed Dusty to pull the rope and flip him over. Orton rolled to the outside but Dusty pulled the rope and caused Orton to slam into the ringpost. Dusty went to the outside. Orton tried to leave but Dusty pulled him towards him and hit another bionic elbow. Back in the ring, Orton hit Dusty in the leg with the cowbell and then stomped Dusty’s leg. Orton then locked a sleeper hold on, followed by a chinlock. Dusty tried to fight back but Orton pounded away on him. Dusty finally did fight back, hitting a Flip-Flop-And-Fly. He went for an elbowdrop but Orton got out of the way. Orton then nailed Dusty in the head with the bell for the pin.
Winner: Randy Orton

– After the match, Orton was getting ready to attack Dusty again but Cody Rhodes ran down and stood between Orton and Dusty. Cody grabbed the bell and stared down Orton who ended up leaving.

– A video going over the World Title situation aired.

The Great Khali vs. Kane vs. Batista for the World Title
Kane and Batista both went after Khali to start, but he knocked both of them down. Khali choked Batista with his boot and elbowed Kane away. He then gave both men clotheslines. Khali remained in control, hitting a side kick on Batista and kicking Kane out of the ring. Khali put a nervehold on Batista. Kane attempted a sleeper hold on Khali but ended up being thrown down. Khali continued to dominate, chokeslamming Batista and Kane, forcing both of them to roll out of the ring. Khali then went to the outside and cleared the ECW announcers table. Kane and Batista doubled up on Khali, ramming him into the ringsteps and then lifting him up and sending him through the announcers table. Kane then hit Batista and the action returned to the ring. Kane got a two count inside the ring but Batista responded with a powerslam which also got a two count. Batista put Kane on the turnbuckle and went for a superplex but Kane headbutted him down to the mat and hit a clothesline from the turnbuckle. Khali returned to the ring and Kane chokeslammed him. He went for the cover but Batista broke it up. Batista clotheslined Kane to the outside. Inside, Batista hit a spinebuster and went for the pin but Kane returned and broke it up. Kane charged Batista who moved, sending Kane into the ringpost. Kane fought back, hitting a chokeslam on Batista for a two count. Kane went to the outside and grabbed a chair. According to Michael Cole, the match is a No DQ match. Kane attempted to hit Batista with the chair but ended up getting a spinebuster for another two count. Batista then hit the Batista Bomb but ended up being pulled out of the ring by Khali and slammed into the ringsteps. Khali then went back in the ring and hit a two handed chokeslam on Kane for the win.
Winner: The Great Khali

– Another Triple H video package aired.

– King Booker came out and posed with Sharmell. He repeated what he said on RAW, that he is the only King on RAW and that Triple H is not the “King of anything.” He then went over to “Jerome” Lawler and told him to put his crown down at his feet. Lawler told Booker that if he wants the crown, he has to come get it. Booker called Lawler’s actions treason and then left to the back.

– Jim Ross said Triple H would return at Summerslam.

– A video package for Cena/Lashley aired.

John Cena vs. Bobby Lashley for the WWE Title
They faced off to start. After locking up, they went to a test of strength. Lashley overpowered Cena, sending him to his knees, but he eventually fought back and got to his feet again before Lashley shoved him into the corner. They exchanged control early on. Cena grabbed control with a bulldog, followed by a slam and an elbow. Cena hit a fisherman’s suplex for a two count. Lashley then grabbed control with an exploder suplex which got a two count. Lashley hit a few knees to the gut of Cena, followed by a few shoulderblocks and a sideslam for a two count. Lashley remained in control, hitting a vertical suplex for another two count. Cena got back in the match after Lashley missed a forearm. Cena hit the Throwback and then hit the Rocket Dropper which got another two count. Lashley fought back, locking Cena into a body scissors and chinlock. Cena fought out of it and hit a back suplex followed by a powerbomb. He then did the Five Knuckle Shuffle fistdrop and got ready for the FU but Lashley avoided it and nailed a powerslam which got a two count. Lashley locked the Torture Rack on Cena and went for a powerslam, but Cena got out of it and hit the FU. Cena collapsed and slowly crawled to Lashley for the cover but only got two. Lashley responded with a clothesline and was ready to attempt a spear on Cena but ended up having it countered into a drop toe hold. Cena then locked on the STFU. Lashley struggled to get to the ropes and finally did make it. They got back to their feet and Lashley hit a spear on Cena which got a two count. Lashley set Cena up for a superplex but Cena blocked it and hit a variation of the FU from the second rope. He then covered Lashley for the win.
Winner: John Cena

– After the match, Cena and Lashley faced off. Lashley offered Cena a handshake and Cena, after thinking it over for a few moments, shook hands with him.
