The video rolls, the pyro hits and we are TAPED FROM SAN ANTONIO… it’s WWE Smackdown for June 19, 2003.

Undertaker vs Nunzio
A total squash match with Nunzio mostly running around trying to escape the big man. Taker picked up the win with the Last Ride. After the match, Palumbo and Stamboli get in the ring for an FBI beatdown but the APA make the save. Bradshaw’s new hairstyle was……interesting.
Winner: Undertaker

Backstage, Zach Gowen is looking for Stephanie but can’t find her. He finally finds her office, but Stephanie isn’t around there. Sable IS in the office and she invites him. He tries to resist for a while but eventually gives in and heads inside.

Chris Benoit vs Rhyno
Before the match, Stephanie comes out with the US title and says this match is a first rounder for the US title, with the finals to be held at Vengeance. This was a long and draw out match with a rather slow pace. Rhyno looked to be in control after missed the gore and then was forced to tap out when Benoit locked on the crippler crossface.
Winner: Chris Benoit
Backstage, Sable drops her top and Zach gets to rub her goodies. No, I’m not joking about that.

Rey Mysterio vs Kanyon
WHO BETTA THEN KANYON! Kanyon so rules! This was a good match packed into a short amount of time. Kanyon hit an electric chair from the top but Rey had the AUDACITY to kick out at 2. Kanyon went to the apron but Rey knocked him into position, hit the 619 and then the West Coast Pop for the pin. Kanyon SO needs to get back his US title.
Winner: Rey Mysterio

Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin (I guess they aren’t Team Angle anymore) come out with new music, a new video and new outfits. They talk about how they are going to be better now they split away from Kurt. They want a piece of Kurt next week. Angle comes out and says they can have him right freaking now! We have an impromptu match between Haas and Angle. YES!

Kurt Angle vs Charlie Haas
Two good matches in a row, it must be my lucky day. Angle looked pretty sharp here. Any ring rust he might have had, it didn’t show up that bad. Angle went for the Angle Slam, but Haas countered with a german suplex and then DROPPED THE STRAPS! Haas went for a Haas Slam but Angle countered and his the Angle Slam for the pin. Shelton returns and Team ____ put Kurt in a double-anklelock! Brock makes the save and sends Team TBA running.
Winner: Kurt Angle

Backstage, Sable makes Zach talk dirty to her, then leaves him with blue balls.

Billy Gunn v. Jamie Noble
This match wasn’t anything special. Noble worked the knee with some dropkicks and a death lockbut got hit with a tilt-a-whirl slam and the Fameasser for the pin. There was a catfight between Nidia and Torrie of course and it was won by Torrie, of course. Still, Torrie can wear these skimpy outfits every week for all I care.
Winner: Billy Gunn

Eddie Guerrero vs Sean O’Haire
This was another short and pretty lousy match. What the hell happened to O’Haire? Wasn’t he good in WCW or something? The only thing redeeming about this match was the fact Piper drank almost an entire bottle of Tequila while cheering O’Haire. Eddie worked over the knee and was ready to hit the frog splash when Piper spit the Tequila in his face. O’Haire then hit the Prophecy for the win. Lousy in ring or not, I still like O’Haire
Winner: Sean O’Haire

Backstage, Vince and Sable start to get busy when Stephanie bursts in and tells Sable to get out. She then talks about how she did sexual favors to Vince’s business associates when she was 17. Then she started shrieking and crying and I really just had to hit the mute button. Still, hearing Stephanie says she was whored out for business really made my day.

WWE Title Match: Brock Lesnar vs Big Show
Ya know, I have actually enjoyed these Show-Lesnar brawls the past couple of weeks/months. The superplex spot from last week was teased but with Brock on the bad end this time. Brock fought Big Show off and went for the F5 but Show held to ropes to block it. Haas and Benjamin ran in for the DQ but Brock beat them down. Show then chokeslammed Brock. Then Angle ran in and gave Show an Angle Slam and Team SH german suplex. Show recovered and then chokeslammed Angle. THEN Mr. America trotted in and attacked Show only to be attacked by Team ____. Mr. America fought off Team TBA only to fall victim to the third chokeslam from Show in the past 2 minutes. Big Show is the last one standing (Shelton and Charlie were kind of up but hanging on the ropes) as this weeks episode ends.
Winner: Brock by DQ

End of Show.
