411’s WWE Smackdown Report 10.12.07

I want to thank Larry and Scott for covering for me these past couple of weeks as I had some football coaching to do.

Match #1: “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters vs. Chuck Palumbo w/ Michelle McCool

Palumbo jumps Masters right away and starts pounding away. Masters gets a kick in and almost switches momentum but Palumbo counters a suplex into one of own. Palumbo misses with an elbow drop and Masters send Palumbo into the turnbuckle. Rights and lefts by Masters followed by a suplex. Camel clutch by Masters but Palumbo gets up. Powerslam by Masters though and he gets a two. Masters calls for the Masterlock but couldn’t lock it in and Palumbo nails a clothesline. Masters gets back on top with some fist but Palumbo gets a huge forearm to the jaw with some clotheslines. Over head suplex by Palumbo and then a roll up after Master misses the clothesline for the win!

After the match, Palumbo gets on his bike but Masters jumps him from behind and gets the Masterlock in.

Winner: Chuck Palumbo via pin fall @ 4:10

We get a Big Daddy V video package from ECW.

Match #2: Festus and Jesse vs. ~JOBBERS~

Jesse kicks it off with JOBBER and JOBBER sends Jesse out of the ring but Jesse pounds away at both JOBBERS. Arm drag to JOBBER and a drop kick to other JOBBER. Tag to JOBBER and Jesse tags Festus. Festus goes to town on JOBBER with some fists and headbuts. He rams the JOBBERS together and nails a huge boot to one of them. Tag to JOBBER and Festus throws him across the ring. Tag to Jesse but JOBBER gets a huge clothesline. Boot to JOBBER by Jesse and he tags Festus and he takes down JOBBER. He throws around both JOBBERS, tags Jesse, and launches him off the top rope into JOBBER for a flying shoulder block for the win!

Winners: Jesse and Festus via pin fall on JOBBER by Jesse @ 4:12

In the back, Jaime Noble runs into Deuce & Domino and he tells them that Jimmy Wang Yang was saying suggestive things about Cherry. The run off to Vicky Guerrero to seek revenge! 7:30:45 33:23

Match #3: Bret Major w/ Brian Major vs. Drew McIntyre w/ Dave Taylor

Drew gets an arm lock but Bret gets one of his own. Bret flips Drew around from the wrist lock and then applies the headlock. Drew picks him and puts him on the ring apron to break the hold. Drew goes to work on the arm. Bret gets a running leg drop out of nowhere for a two. Taylor takes out Brian Major outside the ring which distracted Bret Major and Drew gets the roll up for the win!

Winner: Drew McIntyre via pin fall @ 2:22

In the back, MVP is on the phone when Matt Hardy interrupts. They argue on who knows Undertaker and Kane better but they stop and agree that they must be a team tonight.

Match #4: Kane and Undertaker vs. WWE Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy and WWE United States Champion MVP (non title)

Hardy and Kane start it off and Kane nails an uppercut. Scoop slam by Kane and tag to Undertaker. Boot by Taker and then some Old School attempt but Hardy knocks him off. Taker throws Hardy down though. Clothesline by MVP! Taker gets up and Kane runs in and takes them down. Kane throws Hardy out of the ring and they go to double chokeslam MVP but Hardy pulls him out of the ring as we go to commercial.

-Commercial-

We’re back and Taker is pounding on MVP. Tag to Kane and he sends MVP to the corner. Kane charges but MVP moves and Kane eats turnbuckle. MVP jumps on Kane and nails the running big boot. Hardy tags himself in and gets some shoulder thrusts on Kane. Kane comes back with a big boot though. Tag to Taker and he strikes Hardy in the corner. MVP pulls Taker’s hair and Hardy takes advantage with some shoulder thrusts. Tag to MVP and he gets some rights on but Taker comes back fighting. Taker nails Old School on MVP and gets a two count. Tag to Kane and both brothers kick MVP. Sidewalk slam by Kane and he goes to the tope rope and nails the top rope clothesline for two. Kane sends MVP out of the ring and tags Taker. Taker rams MVP’s head into the ring steps and puts him back in the ring. MVP’s head hanging off the apron and Taker nails the leg drop. Kane puts him in the ring and Taker gets a two count. Tag to Kane and he pounds away on MVP. MVP nails a high elbow to Kane and a knee to the head and tags Hardy. Hardy nails a running splash and a top rope elbow. Leg drop by Hardy but misses the Twist of Fate and gets hit HUGE with a big boot. Hardy out of nowhere though gets the Twist of Fate! MVP tags himself in and tries to pin Kane but gets two. Kane gets up and clotheslines MVP and tags Taker. Snake Eyes to MVP and a big boot. Leg drop by Taker for two. MVP gets a kick to the face but Takler gets up, slams Hardy off the apron, and Taker nails the Tombstone Piledriver to MVP for the win!

Winners: Kane and Undertaker via pin fall on MVP by Undertaker @ 14:13

Rey Mysterio gets interviewed about his #1 Contender Match with Finlay. Rey is furious on how Finlay played him at No Mercy and talks in Spanish. He feels that he has that shot against Batista already, and tonight, he is going to give Finlay a fight.

We get an update on Teddy Long and he has been getting better.

In the back, Jaime Noble is talking with Vicky Guerrero and Vicky makes a match between Noble and Great Khali for lying to Deuce & Domino.

Match #5: Great Khali w/ Mr. Translator Guy vs. Jaime Noble

Noble goes for the single leg take down but Khali shoves him off. Noble goes for a tornado DDT but Khali throws him. Chop by Khali and locks in the Khali Vice Grip and wins!

Winner: Great Khali via submission @ 1:20

We get hype for Cyber Sunday/

Match #6: Deuce w/ Cherry and Dominio vs. Jimmy Wang Yang

They shove each other and Deuce nails a right hand. Kick to the gut by Deuce and he goes to work with the bottom rope on Yang. Right hands by Deuce and some clubs to the back. Yang nails a kick though and a Moonsault for the top rope out of nowhere for the win!

Winner: Jimmy Wang Yang via pin fall @ 2:20

After the match, Cherry, Deuce, and Domino lay out Yang.

We get highlights of the Punjambi Prison Match from No Mercy and out comes Batista for commentary.

Match #7: Finlay vs. Rey Mysterio for #1 Contendership for WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Before the match starts, JBL gets on the mic and says at Cyber Sunday, you can pick the ref for the WWE World Title Match between Mick Foley, Stone Cold, or JBL!

Rey starts off with kicks and strikes. Finlay takes down Rey though but Rey nails a hurricana! Rey misses the Moonsault and grabs the shillelagh outside but Rey flips over the ropes and nails a senton as we go to break.

-Commercial-

We’re back and Rey is kicking away at Finlay in the corner. Running dropkick to Finlay! Rey nails a springboard splash for two. Finlay gets back on top by shoving Rey into the turnbuckle. Finlay throws Rey around and then locks in a Boston Crab. Finlay releases the hold and pounds away on Rey. Rey runs off the ropes and goes for something but Finlay catches him into a backbreaker. Rey comes back with a head scissors and a reverse flipping bulldog. Drop toe hold by Rey but Finlay doges the 619 but going out of the ring. Baseball slide by Rey! Rey pounds away and they just start brawling in the ring as its nothing but punches. The ref tries to break them up but they both shove him down and it’s a double disqualification. Lights go out, GONG, lights are back on and both Rey and Finlay are laid out to Undertaker as he stares down Batista.

Winner: NO CONTEST via double disqualification @ 10:08
