411’s WWE Talking Smack Report: 12.05.20

-The build to TLC continues as Reigns/Owens continues to be awesome and I am sure Heyman will have something to say this morning. Let’s get to it!

-Kayla Braxton welcomes us to Talking Smack and she is joined by her co-host, Paul Heyman. He cuts off Kayla’s introduction of him so he can offer her an apology. What happened on SmackDown with her being inside the ring was wrong. She is a journalist and was put in a potentially violent situation on SmackDown. He apologizes on the behalf of Roman Reigns for the position Kevin Owens put Kayla in tonight. He continues by saying Owens’ mom obviously didn’t raise him to be a gentleman. Roman’s mother raised her son to be a gentleman while KO’s mom raised a son who is a misogynist, sexist and a savage. Damn! He is embarrassed to be on the same brand as Owens and as long as Roman is The Tribal Chief that will never happen inside his ring again. Kayla doesn’t really know what to say and Heyman says she should say thank you and shake his hand. Kayla moves on after giving a quick thanks and brings out our first guest.

-Carmella is out and tells Paul she is untouchable as he goes to shake her hand. Paul apologizes and says he is full on apologies this evening (continuing the running gag of them forgetting to play this show as being live on Saturday morning). Carmella isn’t happy with Kayla’s introduction of her as he left out quite a few of her accomplishments. Kayla congratulates Carmella on getting the title shot against Sasha at TLC. Carmella says nobody should be surprised as she is untouchable and fabulous. Sasha had one goal in her life and that was to get to the WWE. Carmella was a cheerleader and on calendars and traveling the world. She decided to give the WWE a try and has done it better than Sasha ever did in less time. She then points out Paul has some drool on his chin and he says it’s permanent. Paul is blown away with how compassionate Carmella is deep down. She knows it is unfair how much talent she has and she feels bad for those who have less talent than her. Paul wants Kayla to apologize to Carmella for not realizing this. Carmella is eating up Heyman’s praise and then points out she has beaten Asuka twice and had successful title defenses against Charlotte, which Sasha has never be able to do. She has had one title reign that is longer than all of Sasha’s put together. Kayla isn’t sure how genuine the compassion from Carmella is and that leaves Carmella and Paul aghast. Carmella puts over her last title reign as the most entertaining ever and she puts the E in WWE. She does respect Sasha for all her work and effort, but she is better. Carmella takes her leave and Paul quips, “I thought she would never leave.”

-The Riott Squad is out next and Paul says he feels like he is at a rave. Kayla wants her and Paul to coordinate their clothes like Ruby and Liv. Kayla puts over Liv and her documentary that dropped last week on The Network. You can find by review here. Liv says it has been overwhelming and she feels grateful. Ruby says the documentary was a beautiful thing and it showed the world what she has know all along. Liv is a beautiful person and it also showed that Liv has so much more to offer.

-Billie Kay is out with her head shot and resume on the back. She can offer some guidance as she is a former tag team champion. Ruby and Liv challenge Billie to find a partner for a match next week. Billie says she is juggling other opportunities as she is in high demand. Billie gets a little heated and yells at Kayla, but thanks Paul before taking her leave. Paul thinks Kayla should be Kay’s partner next week. Kayla sends Ruby and Liv on their way as she can’t wait to see them be the Tag Champions.

-The Intercontinental Champion, Sami Zayn is out as our final guest. He says it is good to be back and he shakes hands with Heyman though his hand still isn’t 100% thanks to Big E. Heyman is shocked that Big E hasn’t apologized to him and Sami says that shows what kind of person that E is. He has a bruised phalange. Fantastic! Paul apologizes on behalf of Big E and calls E a ruffian. Again, fantastic! Sami shames Big E for what he did as the world is depending on him as he is the IC Champion. Sami catches Kayla saying “last night” as he talks about the IC Title match that was in memory of Pat Patterson. Sami apologizes for being salty earlier and appreciates Kayla letting him talk about Pat. He says Patterson was one of the guys singing his praises while he was in NXT. He was one of the first to push for him and went to Vince countless times to let him know he needed to use him. Sami talks about their personal relationship as they had a lot in common and would talk about foods from all over the world. Pat had a lust for life and knew how to live and Sami will take that with him. He was amazed to see the original IC Title on SmackDown last night. He is happy to represent this championship in Pat’s memory. Kayla wraps things up while Paul tells Sami that he is sorry that Kayla is here as she snuck in a dig about the way Sami has kept his title reign going.

-As has become custom Paul was great and does well in interacting with Kayla and all the guests. The highlight of this week’s Talking Smack was the Sami segment this week. Not near as interesting as last week with KO vs Heyman, but still fun. The Patterson discussion was also a wonderful touch. Using Talking Smack to set up a match for next week was also nice to see as it gave the show a little more importance like the original version would have at times. Solid episode this week.
