AEW Continental Challenge Cup First Round: Eddie Kingston Def. Jake Doyle to Advance

Inaugural Continental Champion Eddie Kingston has secured his spot in the second round of the first-ever AEW Continental Challenge Cup.

Tonight’s episode of AEW Collision was headlined by the third first-round match between Eddie Kingston and Jake Doyle of The Don Callis Family.

The match, as one would expect, was pretty intense, as the two got into a physical slugfest, sharing several near falls in the process. Eddie ultimately got the job done when he followed up a series of thunderous Backfists with a modified Dragon Sleeper, forcing Doyle to tap out.

Kingston joins Claudio Castagnoli and Orange Cassidy in the second round of the inaugural AEW Continental Challenge Cup.
