AEW Revolution World Title Match Set at Grand Slam Australia (SPOILERS)

As previously reported, AEW taped Grand Slam Australia 2026 earlier today in Sydney, Australia at the Qudos Bank Arena. During the event, former AEW World Champion Hangman Page defeated Andrade El Idolo, earning a shot at the AEW World Champion at next month’s AEW Revolution 2026 event.

Meanwhile, in the main event, Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) defeated No. 1 contender Brody King to retain his title. This sets up a title match between MJF and Hangman Page at Revolution 2026.

Immediately after MJF defeated King, Page confronted MJF in the ring, and the two quickly signed a contract confirming their match at Revolution. You can view a clip of their contract signing that was shared on social media below.

Hangman Page is currently 2-1 against MJF in singles matches. The two wrestled over a year ago in the opening bout at last year’s AEW Revolution 2025, with Page beating MJF.

They later faced off again in August, with Page defending the AEW World Title at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025. The match saw Page beat MJF to retain his title. MJF’s lone win against Page in a singles match came at AEW Dynamite Thanksgiving Eve 2019 in November 2019.

At AEW Worlds End 2025 last December, MJF competed against Samoa Joe, Hangman Page, and Swerve Strickland in a Fatal 4-Way bout where he regained the AEW World Title. MJF pinned Samoa Joe to win the belt.

AEW Revolution 2026 takes place on Sunday, March 15 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. It will be broadcast live on pay-per-view.
