AEW Vacates TNT Title Due to Kyle Fletcher Injury, New Champion To Be Crowned At Dynasty

The AEW TNT Championship has been vacated to due the injury suffered by Kyle Fletcher, with a match to crown the next champion set for AEW Dynasty. Tony Khan announced in a new video posted to Twitter that Fletcher’s injury has forced the title to be vacated. Khan said that based on current projections he will be out for “months” but is expected to be back by the end of the year.
Khan announced that the next champion will be determined via a Casino Gauntlet match at Sunday’s PPV. Tonight’s Dynamite will see Tommaso Ciampa and Mascara Dorada compete for the #1 entranec spot in the PPV match.
Kyle Fletcher confirmed on last week’s Collision to have suffered an injury during his match teaming with Mark Davis against The Rascalz on the March 28th episode of Colliion.
The updated card for tonight’s AEW Dynamite, which airs live on TBS, is:
* AEW TBS Championship Match: Willow Nightingale vs. Queen Aminata.
* Casino Gauntlet Match #1 Entrant Qualifier: Tommaso Ciampa vs. Mascara Dorada
* Darby Allin, Bandido & Jack Perry vs. Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Davis, & Andrade El Idolo.
