AJ Lee Opens Up About Her Future in WWE After WrestleMania 42

AJ Lee may have lost at WrestleMania 42 Night One, but that didn’t deter her from describing it as her best WrestleMania experience and her favorite match ever.

Lee lost the Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Becky Lynch at Night One. Despite that, it was a memorable night for her for a couple of reasons. One being her special entrance that saw young girls dressed up as her join her on the ramp. According to AJ, it was her way to thank all the fans who have supported her over the years and bought her merch and mimicked her mannerisms. Secondly, she got to perform in front of her family.

AJ recounted how she didn’t get to bid goodbye to her fans last time and that she felt bad about it. She then said that she hopes to be back soon.

On Becky Lynch’s underhanded tactics:

“I should have known better. I don’t know; Becky fights dirty; she plays dirty. I should have seen it coming. That’s on me. She calls WrestleMania her home, and she’s gonna anything it takes to win. She took my title away from me, but I don’t know; this is still a really special night. So once I get checked out by the doctors, I will reassess and just try and appreciate the experience.”

On why it still was a special night for her

“It’s been my favorite WrestleMania experience so far. Maybe my favorite match so far. Even though I lost it, I got to have my family here. For a lot of them, it was the first time ever, and what I wanted to do with that entrance was represent all the fans who have been with me from day one, who have been wearing my outfits, my shirts, and my shorts, and my shoes, and skipping along with me the whole way. That was for you. I love you. I never got to say goodbye last time, and I felt bad about that. So this is not goodbye. But I’ll be back soon. I hope.”
