AJ Lee Retains WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title On WWE Raw, Attacked By Becky Lynch

AJ Lee remains your WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, defeating Bayley on this week’s episode of WWE Raw before Becky Lynch attacked. Monday night’s episode saw Lee defend her championship against Bayley after the latter won a #1 contenders gauntlet match on last week’s show. Lee and Bayley battled for just over seven and a half minutes, ending as Bayley countered a Black Widow with a side slam. She went up top for an elbow drop but missed, and Lee was able to lock in Black Widow to make her opponent tap out.

After the match, Lynch came out and blindsided Lee, sending her into the entranceway wall and sending her into the barricade. She tossed Lee around, ignoring attempts from officials to stop the assault, before grabbing the title belt and hitting Lee with it. Lynch walked off to the disdain of the fans as Lee was being attended to.
