Arn Anderson On Why Roddy Piper Never Held The World Title

On the latest episode of The ARN Show, Arn Anderson talked about the 1996 arrival of Roddy Piper in WCW as a significant “coup” for the company during the height of the Monday Night War. Anderson noted that stars of Piper’s magnitude were rare and that his debut at Halloween Havoc provided an essential boost to the roster’s star power.

On what Piper Was Good At:

“Piper was great at getting Piper over. Much respect, and he was a guy knew how to take care of himself. I would say he’s not a great guy getting his opponent over.”
