As previously reported, WWE Superstar Santos Escobar underwent surgery for a tricep injury he aggravated recently at AAA Rey de Reyes. The wrestler also noted that he expects to “be out for months.” An update from Fightful Select and Fightful Español has an update on his likely return period.

According to Fightful’s update, Escobar is expected to be on the shelf until late into the summer as he recovers from his triceps surgery. As noted, Escobar said regarding his eventual return during an interview, “When I come back, because you better believe I’m coming back, I’m not just coming for that title. This time, I’m coming for what you value most, what you say is the most beautiful thing in Mexican lucha libre. Be careful what you wish for.”

At Rey de Reyes, Santos Escobar competed in the show’s Final Four Way bout that also featured Original El Grande Americanoo (Chad Gable), El Grande Americano 2 (Ludwig Kaiser), and La Parka. El Grande Americano 2 won the matchup.
