Bandido Pins Ricochet To Win Dynamite Diamond Ring & AEW World Title Shot At Maximum Carnage

For the first time ever, we have a new holder of the Dynamite Diamond Ring in the form of Bandido. The reigning ROH World Champion defeated AEW National Champion Ricochet in a singles bout on Dynamite on 34th Street.

In the closing moments of what was a highly entertaining match, Bandido missed an attempted Frog Splash from Ricochet but bounced back instantly, destroying his opponent with a Thrust Kick and the X-Knee. Toa Liona tried to distract the referee, and this allowed Bishop Kaun to hold onto The Demand leader as Bandido attempted to hit the 21-Plex. The AEW National Champion then low-blowed Bandido and then went for a Spirit Gun, only to be beaten via crucifix pin.

Ricochet continued to beat down Bandido after the match before he and his stablemates were forced to retreat due to Brody King charging down the ring. As a result of his victory, Bandido will now contest for the AEW World Championship at Dynamite: Maximum Carnage on January 14, 2026.
