Bella Twins Recall Switching Places With Each Other Outside of The Ring

The former Bella Twins have acknowledged that they used their ability to switch places well before they were wrestlers. Nikki and Brie, who are now going by The Garcia Twins since they have exited WWE, appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and during the appearance they acknowledged they would use “twin magic” at various times in their life.

“Well, we used to,” Brie said in response to a question from Hudson. “…it’s funny, because as kids we would try to do it. But I felt like our teachers really caught onto it [in middle school].”

Nikki added, “In college, however… you know, you don’t really have that intimate relationship with the majority of your teachers. And so when I was better at a subject, I would test for Brie. And then Brie — yeah, we did that a few times. We tested for each other, or like they would drop you if you weren’t there four times. So then we would be there for each other.”

Brie then said, “So there was this time where I was dating someone. But I was in traffic in San Diego, and there was this really good-looking guy in a truck. And he was like, trying to get my attention to get my number. And in my head I’m like ‘I can’t let this guy go, even though I’m dating someone, so I’m just gonna be Nikki for a second.’ So I pretended I was her, gave him my number, went back to the dorms and was like ‘You have to go on a date with this guy, he’s super cute.'”

Nikki followed up, “I did, And I was like okay great. And then I decided to tell him the whole story and he was so weirded out, he goes ‘Wait, I met your sister first?’ and I’m like ‘Oh yeah my twin sister, but it’s okay because she’s dating someone, so I just took her place.’ And he was like ‘Wait, what?’ and there was never a second date.”
