Brian Cage Makes Return On AEW Dynamite, Battles Kevin Knight

Brian Cage is back on AEW TV, making his return on this week’s AEW Dynamite to answer Kevin Knight’s TNT Championship open challenge. Wednesday night’s show saw Knight throw out an open challenge with his championship on the line.

Cage then came out to the ring and answered the challenge. He was accompanied by his Don Callis Family stablemates Lance Archer, Rocky Romero, and Trent Barreta. Cage had Knight on the ropes several times, controlling Knight with power offense, but Knight was able to battle back and hit a Snap Rana, followed by a UFO Splash to pick up the win and retain his championship. Cage has been out of action since undergound knee surgery in April of last year. Cage noted last month that he has been cleared for a while and was out of action for so long because one of his knee surgeries was “botched.”
