Keep Refreshing For The Latest Results
SICKOS! It’s Wednesday, you know what that means! AEW Dynamite is LIVE tonight from the Harrah’s Cherokee Arena in Asheville, North Carolina! Yes, that Asheville that 7-Star FTR are from! And tonight should continue the company’s push towards Double or Nothing coming up in a week and a half. And as such, while we have a few matches officially on the docket, the card needs to make it to the nine-match threshold!
And now, time for my new feature, the headlines!
So, how is everyone doing tonight? Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that the way that the NFL releases their schedule is kind of silly? Leading up to the official announcement of the schedule, we learn about the holiday games, and today, it was the international games. Like, release the whole thing at once instead of leaking teasers. I’ve also come to grips with how the Flyers season ended, and I definitely look forward to what happens this off-season. I’m not saying that it is a make-or-break kind of Summer, but what Danny Briere and the team do in June and July will dictate just how much better we can be in 2026-27.
But enough about me and enough about you, let’s get ready to make the Dynamite go BOOM!

Tonight, Dynamite is LIVE from Asheville, North Carolina! Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Taz are on the call tonight!
YOU WANTED WAR!
Excalibur runs down the matches for us tonight. The 10-man tag is going to open the show!
Earlier today, The Remarkable Renee Paquette tried to get a word with MJF. She says that Darby is adamant that if he doesn’t put his hair on the line, then he will never wrestle him for the World Title again. MJF strokes his chin and walks away. We see Rick Knox and Bryce Remsburg pass him. This becomes a journey, where MJF walks past a CRAP ton of bald wrestlers and personal, including John Silver and Tommaso Ciampa. Ricochet stops him and says you will look good, but not as good as me! AH-HAAAAAA!
Speaking of Ciampa!
The Young Bucks, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, and Orange Cassidy vs. AEW Tag Team Champions FTR, The Dogs, and Tommaso Ciampa
Predictable big brawl is predictable, as the bell rings, and I notice that Rick Knox is here this week for the Bucks. He wasn’t last week lol. Harwood and Cassidy return to the ring while everyone else fights around the ring. Harwood decks Cassidy and then engages in hands with Copeland. Cage and Wheeler are fighting up the steps and into the crowd, while the Dogs, the Bucks, and Ciampa fight around the announce table.
In the ring, Harwood has Cassidy in trouble on the top. The fans clearly want to cheer FTR despite them being heels. Harwood with a Superplex, but Cassidy bounces into a Stun dog Millionaire! Cassidy with a DDT, but Wheeler is back and he hits Cassidy. The heels gang up on Cassidy in their corner, as everyone seems to have returned to ring side.
Ciampa is in now, and he hits some stiff chops to Cassidy. Ciampa looking single leg crab, but Cassidy keeps rolling away. He kicks Ciampa away, so Dax with the blind tag and he flips off the fans! Well then! For that, Harwood hits his head off the ring post lol. Nick Jackson gets the tag, he causes FTR to bonk heads and he hits a dropkick to both men. The Dogs are in, Escalada by Nick to both Dogs! Matt Jackson is in, SUPERKICKS, double bulldogs by the Bucks! Matt with a baseball slide to both members of FTR, and Nick wipes them out on the floor.
Matt initiates the Locomotion with Clark Connors. He catches David Finlay on the third one, and the train keeps a-rollin! SUPERKICK PARTY but Stoke grabs the Bucks legs! I think he has a death wish lol. Stoke tries to buy them off with a watch, but The Bucks intercept FTR and then send them into the Dogs, who crash to the floor.
Ciampa gets the better of the Bucks momentarily, but they eventually overwhelm Ciampa. Father of the Year gets the tag, and he kicks Wheeler in the dick! SUPEREKICKS from the Bucks, and Cage gets a two on the match’s first pin. That’ll take us to the break!
Cage is in the wrong part of town as we return. Stoke has now joined commentary, as we see what happened to Cage during the break. Cage tries to tag out, but all of his partners get dropped from the apron and to the floor. Cage looking for the Killswitch, Harwood shoves him away, but they end up smacking heads. Copeland is back, and Cage gets the tag, as does Connors. Copeland runs through all of the heels as he hypes up the crowd. He’s looking SPEAR, but Finlay holds on to him, so the Bucks take care of him on the floor. Copeland hits his Edge-O-Cution on Connors for a two.
Connors ends an Enziguri/clothesline spot from Cage and the Bucks. Cassidy with a devastating back splash! Cage hits a DDT/Reverse DDT to both of the Dogs. Everyone except for Copeland head to the top, the faces hit stereo splashes, while Cope hits the Impaler DDT! The covers, but everyone kicks out lol. Cassidy and Cage come face-to-face, Cage stops Cassidy from putting his hands in his pockets, so Cassidy puts Cage’s hands in his pants lol. Cage takes Cassidy and throws him out of the ring and into Ciampa and the Dogs!
Cage wipes out Finlay on the floor, but FTR hit Copeland with the Shatter Machine! The cover, but Cassidy with the save. Cassidy with the most dangerous kicks of all time, but FTR are too strong, and they take out Cassidy! As is customary, this turns into the part of the match where everyone gets their shit in. Connors is the last man standing, as looks to line up Copeland with a Spear. Copeland leaps, though, and he SPEARS Harwood lol. Connors knows he messed up, as he runs into a Triple SUPERKICK, an Orange Punch, and a SPEAR from Copeland, and that’s curtains and drapes!
WINNER: The Young Bucks, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, and Orange Cassidy
TIME: 15:55
THOUGHTS: The usual fun 10-person tag that we are known to get. We just got different competitors, but at the end of the day, it remains the same.
RATING: ***3/4
Earlier today, we see the final training session for Will Ospreay. Garcia says that Ospreay has to show him something. Kind of funny if you ask me. We see Moxley showing Ospreay how to apply a cross face at the expense of Yuta, while Ospreay does a London Bridge, looking on. Moxley wants to know if he remembers that one time back in Virigina, when life was free and they had less cares in the world. They just grabbed what they wanted along the way. But everyone has a family now, they all made bad choices, and there is a weight on your shoulders. But let Jon tell you something, nothing has changed, but you can still find who you are, you are just more dangerous. You are a bird of prey, so when you go out there tonight, don’t go out there to protect your neck or your reputation, go out there and give something. Ospreay considers this, while Moxley screams at Yuta.
COMMERCIALS!
We get highlights from previous Anarchy in the Arena/Stadium Stampede matches. In case you missed it, we’re getting a 14-man version of it at Double or Nothing.
To the here and the now, as The Demand and new National Champion Mark Davis are backstage. Ricky knows that Jericho talks out of his ass, but he doesn’t know what he has gotten himself into. Because thanks to his golfing buddy Don Callis, not only does he have Davis on his team, but he’s gotten Andrade El Idolo! And what’s more, he is filling out his team with two men who have an axe to grind, and he has The Dogs. The Dogs say that they are sick of the Young Bucks and they are going to kick their ass once and for all.
Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Westbrook
No, not Brian Westbrook. Apparently, this guy couldn’t afford a first name. Bailey bows to him and wants to shake hands, and Westbrook uses this as a chance to roll him up. So Bailey launches into his athletics. I’m not sure what Westbook tried to do, but he ended up catching himself in the ropes. That was something lol. Time and Adventure lead to the Ultimo Weapon, and that’s it!
WINNER: Speedball Mike Bailey
TIME: 65 seconds
THOUGHTS: The most interesting part was the jobber getting stuck in the ropes somehow.
RATING: N/R
Apparently, are launching into the TNT Open Challenge match!
TNT Title Match: Kevin Knight vs. The Machine Brian Cage
Well, I’ll be damned! I find it odd that Cage is out with some of the DCF members, since Callis himself asked if Cage wrote his memoir in crayon.
Knight foolishly tries to chop Cage at the bell, but Brian just flexes his pecs. Cage curls with Knight, but Kevin lands on his feet. Knight with some shoulder tackles, but he can’t knock Cage to the mat. Off the ropes, Cage blocks a DDT attempt and throws Knight on his face. Thrust kick, and Cage wants to know WHO BETTER THAN CAGE? Kanyon, buddy, the answer is Kanyon.
Cage with shoulder blocks in the corner to Knight followed by a hammer throw. Cage with chops and he proceeds to choke out Knight with his boot. Cage with a huge lariat, but Knight hooks the ropes on his hammer throw. Knight sends Cage to the floor and he takes flight, but Cage hits a no-hands needed DVD. At least that’s how it looked to me. Cage slams Knight onto the apron, and that’ll take us to the break.
Cage slingshots Knight into the ring and hits a rolling neck breaker for a two as we return. Cage shows he can make the letter X and picks up Knight, but Kevin escapes out the back, and he ends up on the apron. Knight manages to snap Cage’s neck over the top rope, and he hits a springboard dropkick. Both men to their feet as Knight tries to stick and move against Cage. Brian pops him up, but Knight fires back with a dropkick, sending Cage to the floor. Kight takes flight with a Senton Atomico, but Cage catches him out of the air again! Knight reverses, though, and he throws Cage into the ring steps. Knight to the apron, and he kicks Cage into the steps again.
Bailey kicks Lance Archer on the floor, which distracts Knight long enough for Cage to hit him with a springboard suplex! Archer tries to chokeslam Bailey, but he lands on the apron and kicks Archer in the temple. Knight catches Cage with a Spike DDT, which gets him a two. Cage to the top, Knight tries a Snap Rana, but he slips off of Cage, but Cage pulls him back in. Knight instead the Snap Rana and that leads into the UFO Splash for the win!
WINNER: Kevin Knight (Still Champion)
TIME: 10:50
THOUGHTS: A great match, and a good way to return Cage to AEW. There were some sloppy spots, but it was still a good match.
RATING: ***1/2
Post-match, Bailey congratulates Knight on his win. Knight says that they are winners, but he can’t get over the fact that he couldn’t win the World Title last week. Bailey says no, everyone knows that you will win that World Title. Knight says he appreciates the support, and he knows Bailey will be a champion someday. Bailey says that got him thinking, and after Takeshita and Allin tonight, he wants next! He says Takeshita was his most fierce rival in Japan, but in AEW, they have yet to have a match. As much as he would love to see MJF go bald…
Knight: We all want to see that!
Bailey says that he is coming for Darby’s World Title!
Will Ospreay will face Ace Austin, next!
COMMERCIALS!
The guys welcome us back post-break, and we get the Men’s side of the Owen!
Jack Perry and Mark Davis
Samoa Joe and Will Ospreay (match takes place at Double or Nothing)
Swerve Strickland and Bandido (Match takes place at Double or Nothing)
Brody King and Claudio Castagnoli
A lot of these matches aren’t random, which I like. I also really like getting Will-Joe and Swerve-Bandido on Double or Nothing. Hell yeah!
Jack Perry cuts a promo in the back. He supposes that congratulations are in order for Mark Davis winning his National Title, but he doesn’t feel like a champion to him. At Double or Nothing, he is going to break every blunt object that he can over Davis, and after that, it is back to grass roots. And if you don’t like that, then FUCK YOU.
BRUVSPREAY!
Will Ospreay vs. Ace Austin
The bell rings, and the fans are CLEARLY behind Ospreay. Will wants to shake hands, Austin cautiously shakes his hand and quickly backs away. Early lock-up, Austin with arm control, but Ospreay reverses. Austin tries to reverse, but Ospreay counters with a side headlock takeover and we reset. Test of strength, Austin gets Ospreay down to the ground and keeps bridging up to avoid getting pinned. Monkey Flip by Ospreay and he grabs wrist control and he stomps on the elbow of Austin!
Ospreay picks up Austin and goes after the shoulder of Austin. Ace reverses the hammer throw, but Ospreay kicks him in the head. Shoulder tackle by Ospreay, but Austin with a drop toehold and a back splash for a two. Ospreay fires back with elbows, but Austin rolls over Ospreay on the mat and he applies a reverse STF! Ospreay quickly makes his way to the ropes, but he favors his neck. Ospreay is alright, as he hits a back kick to Austin and he runs the ropes, but Austin picks him up into a low squat and he hits a DVD! The cover, but Ospreay kicks out at two. That’ll take us to the break!
Austin is in control until he isn’t as we return. Ospreay kicks him in the face and hits an enziguri, flooring Austin. Manhattan Drop, big kick, and Standing Swivel Splash for a two. Ospreay kicks the arm of Austin, but Ace with an elbow to response. He isn’t ready for the springboard back kick, though, and Austin hits the floor! Ospreay goes to fly, but Austin sneaks into the ring. Austin does the handstand on the apron, he plays keep away from Will, and he kicks him through the ring post. Austin with a crossbody block to Ospreay! Austin goes to throw Ospreay into the ring, but Will reverses it. Austin tries another handstand, but Will hits a thrust kick!
Will back into the ring, and he comes down on the neck of Austin! He lines up Ace for the Oscutter, but Austin kicks out at two! Ospreay looking Hidden Blade, but Austin ducks, and he hits a low dropkick to Will! Austin charges Ospreay in the corner and he hits three corner clotheslines. Austin sits Ospreay on the top rope and he hits an enziugri. Austin from the apron and he hits a Tiaras to Ospreay!
Austin jumps into an Bruv Clash attempt, but Austin fights it off. Ospreay fights off Austin’s offense, but Ace still scores with a float over Flatliner for a two! THIS IS AWESOME chants, and you’re damn right it is! Austin sits Ospreay on the top rope, Ospreay fights him off and catches Austin in a joint lock! He traps Ospreay, but Austin escapes before Will can get cheeky! Austin from the apron and he jumps back in, but Ospreay catches him with a sit-down Powerbomb for a two!
Both men trade strikes from their knees and then from their feet. Ospreay with the Kawada kicks, but Austin counters with a back heel kick. Rolling Elbow Strike from Will, followed by the hook kick. Stormbreaker attempt is avoided, as Austin scores with a corkscrew kick! Austin looking to stack the deck, but Will kills him with the Hidden Blade! Will setting up for a more traditional one, but Austin hits the mat. Will with the running kick into the Flying Armbar, and Austin taps out!
WINNER: Will Ospreay
TIME: 15:10
THOUGHTS: Yee. Even a “boring” Ospreay can still be hella fun. Austin was game, and this was a lot of fun.
RATING: ****1/2
Post-match, Ospreay motions to Dr. Sampson that he is okay. Will shakes hands with Ace, and he helps him to his feet. The Opps (Sans HOOK) are here, and Joe has a mic. Joe keeps saying Will’s last name, in case we forgot (or maybe him, who knows). Joe wanted to make sure that Will was listening, because the past couple of weeks, it sounds like he hasn’t been hearing Joe. Fate put them on a collision course in the Owen first round, but he is here to talk to him about consequences. You could have had a bye in the first round, because that is what he does for his friends. But you decided to be a lapdog for Jon Moxley and the Death Riders. So, it looks like you made your choice, and come Double or Nothing, he will make Will suffer. So, be well, Will, but unfortunately, his friends feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends.
That’s the cue for Anthony Bowens and Shibata-San to attack. But before they can get into the ring, Jon Moxley’s music hits and the Death Riders make their way out from the back. Bowens and Shibata step off of the apron. The Opps fake going on the attack, but eventually they back up, as Bowens talks that mad smack to Ospreay.
Renee has Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita in the back. Callis says that Takeshita will be entering Double or Nothing as the World Champion, but MJF is here. It’s been a minute since he faced Takeshita and beat him, three years ago in fact, but he knows that he can beat Darby Allin tonight, and then he is going to beat Okada at Double or Nothing. Takeshita shakes his hand, and Konosuke takes off. Callis thanks MJF for the pep talk, but MJF says he is in a panic. That kid needs to win and MJF has to have an easier path back to his title. MJF gives Don his Dynamite Diamond Ring in case he needs it, and Andrade is here! He takes off his Phil Collins hat and shakes his hair, which pisses MJF off and he leaves. Callis says that Takeshita will walk out tonight as the new World Champion. Andrade says HOW YOU KNOW, and they converse in Spanish.
COMMERCIALS!
We get the Women’s Owen Hart first round matches after the break!
Hazuki and Persephone
Alex Winsdor and Willow Nightingale
Skye Blue and Sareee
Mina Shirakawa and Athena
Hazuki, Persephone, Athena, AND Sareee? Hell yeah!
That takes us to a promo with Renee and the Conglomeration in the back! Kyle says that Roddy and Cassidy should go for the tag team titles. KYLE, says Roddy, thank you! Kyle says that he is going for singles gold, because Moxley has the Continental Title, and he tapped him out. Willow says that she too has gold, and when she wins the Owen, which she has before, she will have all the gold. Cassidy says that they should do the Word of the Day, and that brings back Mark Briscoe! The word of the day is Reconvene, because they are back together, and Briscoe challenges Ciampa for next week on Dynamite!
It’s time for the ladies!
The Triangle of Madness vs. Hikaru Shida and the Brawling Birds
Hayter and Thekla are to start at the bell, but Blue and Hart try to ambush her, so Shida and Windsor hit the ring, and all hell breaks loose. Shida, Hayter, and Windsor set up the TOM for ten clubbing blows around the ring side area. Blue and Windsor do battle on the barricade (Dog bless those fans in the front row) and the Brawling Birds catch her and launch her onto the apron. Thekla from the top, and she hits a crossbody both Birds as we hit the break!
Hayter is send to the Triangle’s corner as we return. Windsor ends up there as well and we get a double Tarantula. Blue runs in and kicks both Windsor and Hayter in the face. That was a clever spot. Thekla looking crossbody block, but Hayter moves and she hits a pump kick to the Champion. After some dissent, Shida tags into the match. She stakes up Thekla and Hart, then hits Hart with a snap suplex into Thekla, who is trapped in the corner. Shida pins Thekla for a two.
Shida implores Thekla to hit her, but Shida hits a rolling forearm. Thekla avoids a kick and salts Shida with a big forearm of her own. Thekla tags in Blue, who tags in Hart, as they do their double front suplex and thrust kick spot. Thekla sets her Spider pose and she hits a SPEAR to Shida! The pin, but the Birds make the save, despite Hart and Blue being in the way.
Windsor sets up Thekla, and Hayter and her hit a big boot/Russian Leg Sweep combination. They look for Two Birds One Stone, but Blue grabs Hayter and pulls her to the floor. We hit the part of the match where everyone gets their shit in, and we’re left with Windsor and Hart. Alex hits Julia with a Low-Down, but Blue got the blind tag, and she kicks Alex in the head. Blue ends up getting sandwiched by the Birds. Two Birds, One Stone attempt, but Thekla is in and she hits Hayter in the head with her title belt, and that’s a DQ!
WINNER: The Brawling Birds and Hikaru Shida Via DQ
TIME: 10:05
THOUGHTS: A decent enough match. Thekla using her title for the DQ makes sense, since Hayter is one of her challengers for the title at Double or Nothing.
RATING: ***1/4
The beatdown is on post-match, and Shida grabs her kendo stick and walks away! Thunder Rosa, Willow Nightingale, and Mina Shirakawa hit the ring, and the Triangle take their leave.
The main event World Title match is up next, but before that, we get a promo for RUSH, as we are reminded as to how awesome he is. I hope that this push can actually be sustained.
COMMERCIALS!
It’s time to see how many times Darby proceeds to be ded!
AEW World Title Match: Darby Allin (C) vs. Konosuke Takeshita
Allin with a dropkick to Takeshita straight away, sending him to the floor. Allin goes to fly, but Takeshita catches him and slams him off the apron. He returns him to the ring only to boot Allin back out the other side of the ring. Back in the ring, and Takeshita gets a two on the pin. Takeshita starches Allin with a forearm, and we get a close up of Takeshita deep in thought.
Big Beal by Takeshita, as Allin bounces out of the corner. Konosuke puts Darby on the top rope and heads up. Allin bites him in the head and shoves him to the mat. Allin with a flying headbutt but be bounces right off of Takeshita lol. Release overhead suplex from Takeshita, as he stares menacingly into the camera. Takeshita to the floor, Allin with some strikes, but Takeshita lands repeat knees and throws Allin into the barricade.
Takeshita sets the ring steps up more to his liking and grabs Allin. Allin avoids certain chaos for now, but Takeshita hits a big forearm. Takeshita looking PowerDrive Knee, but he ends up smashing it into the ring steps! Allin off the steps and he scores with a Destroyer! Allin returns to the ring only to take flight, as he hits Takeshita with a Tope! Both men on the apron, Allin looking Coffin Drop, but Takeshita catches Allin and hits a Blue Thunder Bomb to the floor! Allin is, once again, Ded, as we head out for our final break!
Both men are collecting themselves in the ring as we return. Allin rolls his way to the apron, headbutts Takeshita in the gut, and counters Takeshita’s knee with a Guillotine! Takeshita breaks free, Allin with the chops and the headbutt, but he gets his Destroyer countered with a sit-down Package Driver! Takeshita swings Allin around with a Waterwheel German! Takeshita with a big kick in the corner, and Allin is placed on the top. TAKESHITA WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX FROM THE TOP ROPE AND RIGHT INTO THE PIN, BUT ALLIN KICKS OUT AT TWO! Takeshita smokes Allin with the PowerDrive knee, but Allin again kicks out at two!
Takeshita is beside himself, and El Clon is here! He takes the ref, so Callis can give Takeshita Max’s Dynamite Diamond ring! He thinks about it, but he ends up throwing it out of the ring. Allin catches him in a small package for a two, so Takeshita responds with a big elbow strike. Again, Allin is placed on the top rope, but Allin escapes and hits an Avalanche Code Red! Allin with the Last Supper, but Takeshita is out at two! Takeshita to the floor, but he isn’t safe from the Coffin Drop!
Both men are laid out on the arena floor, as Bryce counts. Allin tries to get into the ring, but Takeshita grabs him and throws him back to the floor. Takeshita breaks the count and he signals this is the end. Takeshita climbs onto the ring steps that he set up, he grabs Allin, but Darby knees his way free. ALLIN REVERSES TAKESHITA WITH A SCORPION DEATH DROP ON THE STEPS!
Back to the ring goes Allin, and he hits another Coffin Drop to the floor and to Takeshita! Allin feverishly picks up Takeshita and rolls him into the ring, but that allows Takeshita the chance to kick out at two! Another Coffin Drop attempt, but Takeshita got the knees up and gets a two off a crucifix. PowerDrive knee connects, but Allin reverses Takeshita’s Raging Fire into the Scorpion Death Lock! Takeshita eventually gets the break, but Allin hits not one but TWO Coffin Drops, and Darby has retained!
WINNER: Darby Allin (And still!)
TIME: 15:30
THOUGHTS: Darby fell, for us, and his title reign has already been more fun than some others that have come before him. Takeshita was game and honestly, I wouldn’t have been shocked had he won here ahead of his match with Okada.
RATING: ****1/4
Allin has the mic post-match, and he wants Max to get his ass out here and sign the contract so he can lose his hair to him.
Some stagehands set up a make-shift arrangement in the ring, and MJF is out sans the usual piss and vinegar that he usually comes out with. MJF stalks to the corner, as Darby throws one of the chairs to the mat and he signs the contract! MJF walks over to the table, stares at the contract for a minute, goes to sign it, but he backs off. BALD chants, as MJF takes a seat. Now he has to talk. Yay. Let him explain something to you, Darby, while you look like you have rabies. He is happy for him, he hopes he has had fun holding his World Championship, he really does. There is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolina man’s penis, that he knows that Allin will never hold this title again. Just like Hangman Page. You are here today, gone tomorrow, because you are a glorified stuntman. It’s all about making your own legacy, but all yours equated to was 15 minutes of fame. They know that deep down, you were just a little prick that got lucky. They will know that you were too stupid and reckless to stay down. And his legacy, in that shithole of a city known as New York, will be that of the man who was a three-time Champion at age-30. And that’s the difference between them. Darby brags about climbing a mountain top, but in wrestling, Max is the mountain top.
Darby tells Max to shut up. Only someone as vein as you think that this is about legacy. Allin doesn’t care about legacy, he lives in the moment, and at Double or Nothing, he is going to make Maxwell Jacob Friedman a bald-headed bitch!
That was TOO much for MJF, and he signs the contract! As is customary, though, no contract signing is ever just a signing, and Max tackles Darby to the mat and punches away on him. He topples the table and the chair, and he hits Darby in the face with his Dynamite Diamond ring, although I doubt it was the same one that he gave to Callis. MJF raises the title and claims he will become a three-time World Champion. He puts the title over Allin, but he returns to the ring. He looks to hit a Tombstone from the top rope, but here comes Kevin Knight, as MJF hightails it. Knight helps Allin up to his feet, and with that, we are done!
