The Undisputed WWE Championship match on last week’s WWE Smackdown has a flub in its ending, something Bully Ray weighed on. Friday night’s episode saw Sami Zayn defend his championship against Kevin Owens. Zayn won the match after CM Punk nailed Owens with the title belt, but there was a minor mishap as the referee seemed to count the three, but the bell didn’t ring and Zayn proceeded to hit Owens for a Helluva Kick to get the definitive three-count.

Bully spoke about the moment on Busted Open Radio and what went down. You can see the highlights below (per Wrestling Inc):

On the Mishap:

“The referee’s hand hits a third time, and then he gets up and he signals for the bell. But we never get it. For those of you who might be saying, ‘Well, Kevin got his arm up.’ No, he didn’t. The only thing that came up off the mat was the back of Kevin’s forearm and a tiny portion of his tricep… Every part of Kevin Owen’s shoulders were on the mat for the three count.. Where the miscommunication happened, I don’t know.”

On Fans Saying the Referee Didn’t Hit His Hand Down on Count Three:

“Now, some people might have said… ‘Oh, his hand didn’t hit as hard for the third count.’ But, even if his hand would’ve hit the mat, you would’ve heard something. There was no noise, period.”
