Bully Ray Predicts Nick Aldis vs. Gunther at WWE SummerSlam, Thinks Gunther Can’t Lose

During a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray assessed this year’s WWE SummerSlam and the matchups he’s most excited to see. Bully Ray cited Gunther vs. Nick Aldis and Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar as his most anticipated matchups at the premium live event. He also shared his prediction for Gunther versus Aldis. “Listen, as invested as I am in Seth and Roman and Cody and Punk, if you told me, all right, you only get to watch two matches, [it’d be] Oba and Brock, Gunther and Nick.”

His Prediction for Gunther vs. Nick Aldis

“I don’t think Gunther can lose to Nick Aldis. Winning and losing doesn’t matter, except when it matters. I think you get the story of Nick Aldis, the general manager, who we reveal was a former wrestler. A great wrestling match. Holy sh*t, look at what this guy can do. He can take Gunther to the limit. But at the end of the day, I think Nick Aldis needs to go to sleep.”

WWE SummerSlam 2026 takes place on August 1-2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It will air live on the ESPN App in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
