Chavo Guerrero says he is consistently reminded of his late uncle Eddie Guerrero and the legacy that he left behind him. It has has been over two decades since the WWE Hall of Famer passed away in November of 2006, and he still has legions of fans who look back fondly on his life and career.

Chavo recently spoke about his uncle on Talk is Jericho. He said he was reminded of Eddie’s talent in the ring a few years ago at WrestleMania 38 when he saw an old match from ROH. He also talked about how fans remind him of Eddie every day. You can see highlights below:

On Eddie’s Ability:

“How smooth he is, we just kind of took for granted how good he was and others at that time how good they were. Like, it was just expected. And WrestleMania when it was in Dallas, we were there and I was signing at the WrestleCon, or whatever it was. And afterwards, my buddy lived there and we went to a bar to go have a beer. And they had Ring of Honor, an old Ring of Honor clip on after Eddie got let go in WWE… he was making his way back. And he was at Ring of Honor, when Ring of Honor was in a high school gym, and he was wrestling Super Crazy.

“And I was just enthralled. I watched it and I was like, ‘Oh my god!’ He was so smooth and so good! Light years ahead of everybody there. He was so much better. I was like, I just forgot how good he was. And then he had a chip on his shoulder. He was coming back he was like, ‘I’m coming back strong.’ Gosh dude, he was so good.”

On Being Reminded of Eddie:

“It’s hard, because Eddie’s been gone now 21 years. Yeah, 2005. But I’m reminded every single single day about him, because someone on Instagram will send me a clip, or ask about him. Or if I any you I post something about me my son. My oldest son and I went to a Laker game recently and somebody posted, ‘Oh he’s got a a mustache just like Eddie. Eddie would be proud.’ I hear it all the time. So I’m constantly reminded about it. So it’s not like, ‘Oh yeah I haven’t thought about him in a while.’ No it’s — you think about him all the time, because you’re reminded.

“But it’s good, man. I — you know, he was my brother. He was your brother. And it’s just — you know, it’s good memories. I miss him. It’s just like he’s still with me. Even though I don’t see him all the time, he’s still with me. I still reminded about him all the time.”
