Chris Jericho Loses Return Match Against Ricochet At AEW Dynasty

Chris Jericho’s return to an AEW ring resulted in a loss at the hands of Ricochet at AEW Dynasty. Sunday night’s PPV featured Jericho returning to the ring in a bout with Ricochet. The match, which was set up on last week’s episode of Dynamite, featured the former AEW National Champion battle Jericho in a match that went a little over 19 minutes.

Jericho controlled several swaths of the match, while Ricochet targeted the former World Champion’s arm. Jericho had the Walls of Jericho locked in late in the match but Ricochet was able to get to the ropes. Jericho pulled Ricochet away from the ropes but allies GOA got involved in the match and saved their stablemate from the submission. Jericho fought back but it was too much for him and Ricochet eventually hit Jericho with his own Lionsault for the pinfall victory.

The match was Jericho’s first bout since April 6th, 2025 when he lost the ROH World Championship to Bandido at last year’s AEW Dynasty. His last win came in February of last year. You can see highlights from the match below.
