CM Punk Will Never Put His Own Name on Wrestling Mt. Rushmore

It’s common for wrestlers to be asked what their “Wrestling Mt. Rushmores” are, and CM Punk says he’ll never put his own name on such a list. Punk was asked the question during an appearance on Pardon My Take and couldn’t narrow down to four, instead naming six in Bret Hart, Roddy Piper, Terry Funk, Eddie Guerrero, Harley Race, and Dusty Rhodes. When asked why he wasn’t on the list, he offered an explanation.

“Am I better than Steve Austin or Eddie Guerrero?,” Punk said (h/t to Wrestling Inc). “I’ll never think that. I think I’m more apt to put myself ahead of my contemporaries, right? But the legends that I grew up watching, that I studied, that I learned from? No, I’m not better than those guys.”

Punk teamed with AJ Lee at Wrestlepalooza this past weekend to pick up a win over Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
