CM Punk Comments on Walking Out to ‘Sirius’ by Alan Parsons Project at WWE Elimination Chamber

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk walked out to a special song for his title defense against Finn Balor in front of his home crowd at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Ray Clay provided a special introduction for The Best in the World as he headed toward Gorilla Position from his locker room

Following that, Sirius by The Alan Parsons Project echoed through the United Center as Punk walked down the ramp to face Finn Balor. Punk commented on using the song for his homecoming during the Elimination Chamber Post Show.

He said: “That song, Alan Parsons Project, obviously has a connection with the United Center, being the intro for the Bulls dynasty. There is a statue of a man named Michael Jordan right over there. It was also Ricky Steamboat’s entrance for a lot of his time in WWE. It’s a magical song, ladies and gentlemen.” Punk continued, “I got goosebumps just thinking about it and talking about it. The best part about the entrance was the people behind me. When I say the people behind me, I mean the entirety of Chicago, because they are always behind me.” [H/T: Fightful]

As far as the match is concerned, Finn Balor gave CM Punk a run for his money, as the former Universal Champion brought his A-game to the table. However, Punk would not be denied. He eventually pinned Balor following a GTS to set up a blockbuster showdown with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42.
