CM Punk opened the latest episode of WWE RAW with an extended promo segment that ran for approximately 13 minutes. The segment quickly drew attention online due to its tone and delivery.
According to reporting from BodySlam+, Punk “was given several bullet points to speak on,” but did not have any script to follow. The report noted that Punk “used his platform to add on to Cody Rhodes’ promo from SmackDown and speak up for all of the talent in the back regarding their frustrations.”
On Monday, CM Punk opened the show with his promo, which many are comparing to the infamous pipebomb promo. This time, Punk discussed various prevailing issues, including high ticket prices, and referenced stars such as Roman Reigns, The Rock, Vince McMahon, Pat McAfee, and Ari Emanuel.
The segment has continued to generate discussion following the broadcast, particularly regarding its content. However, no official statement has been issued by WWE.
