Conflicting Report Regarding Bayley’s Current WWE Contract Status

As previously reported, Dave Meltzer said on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that Bayley, who made her TV return last night on Raw, had “signed a new deal” with WWE. However, according to a new report from Mike Johnson at PWInsider Elite (via WrestlePurists), this is not the case.

Johnson’s report claims that multiple WWE sources indicate that “there were no conversations about Bayley signing a new deal.” Additionally, it’s said that Bayley “still has lots of time left on her contract.” The report also notes, “Anyone claiming she signed a new deal as a condition of her return would be 100% wrong.”

Earlier in July, reports from Fightful Select indicated that Bayley’s current WWE deal would expire later this year, unless injury time was added on. F4WOnline.com also reported that her contract end date was expected to be around October or Q4 2026.

Also, False Finish reported last week that multiple sources within WWE believe that the wrestler signed a new contract. The report added that Bayley will be more involved with the promotion and not just as an on-screen figure.

However, PWInsider’s report indicates the former WWE Women’s Champion still has significant time left on her current contract. For now, Bayley looks to be back on TV full-time and resuming her feud with her bitter rival, Lyra Valkyria.
