– Follow all of my reviews at this link.

– I reviewed the first four episodes of the Mae Young Classic, and you can check those out below…

* Episode 1
* Episode 2
* Episode 3
* Episode 4

– We get our usual high quality opening video package to catch us up on the main angles.

– Dario meets with his monster brother Matanza, and admits that he was wrong about Rey Mysterio, but knows Matanza wanted to protect him. Dario details his humiliation at the hands of Rey, and books Matanza vs. Rey at the 100th episode in two weeks. Dario wants Matanza to destroy Rey. MATANZA ANGRY!

– In four weeks, we get four nights of Ultima Lucha Tres. Puma vs. Mundo is the main event of night four.

Son of Madness vs. Mascarita Sagrada: Madness is pisses because Son of Havoc made Sagrada an honorary member of the biker club. Madness attacks right away, and kicks the shit out of him. A big backbreaker follows. Sagrada hits a short tornado DDT and cradle for 2. Madness cuts off his dive attempt, Madness hits a kick and suplex, covering for the win. Son of Madness defeated Mascarita Sagrada @ 2:05 via pin [NR] This was all angle, designed to piss off Son of Havoc when Son of Madness beat down his little buddy. I think this was ok in that regard, but could have been better accomplished in a cinematic.

– Post match Son of Havoc attacks Madness and they brawl. Havoc is pissed about madness’ actions, and Dario arrives and brings out security to break it up. He then announces that they can fight later tonight in a medallion match, in a BIKER’S BRAWL MATCH!

– Marty creeps on Melissa Santos during the introductions. Mariposa then slaps him around to fire him up.

Marty The Moth vs. Argenis: This poor bastard Argenis is back from his second broken arm at the hands of Pentagon. I don’t see good things happening here, judging by his rough past. Argenis works leg kicks, but Marty cuts him off and beats the shit out of him. The bicycle kick follows as it’s all Marty here. Argenis manages to avoid a charge, and hits a high cross. Marty quickly cuts him off, lays in elbows and starts to try and rip off Argenis’ mask. Argenis manages to trip Marty up and sends him to the floor and hits a great looking tope. Mariposa distracts Argenis, and Marty attacks; they brawl into the bleachers and Argenis hits a RANA. Mariposa posts Argenis, and he’s busted open. Marty takes him back in the ring, and continues to beat on the bloody body of Argenis. Argenis hits a desperation neck breaker, but Marty cuts him off and hits a code breaker variation for the win. Marty The Moth defeated Argenis @ 5:45 via pin [**½] As a wrestling match it’s average at best, but Marty beating Argenis into a bloody mess and ripping his mask off was a great story telling tool that led to the post match and another match set for Ultima Lucha Tres. It’s been a feud that’s been building for a while and now it has a big stipulation to pay it off.

– Post match Marty continues his attack, trying to rip off the mask of Argenis. He does rip off the mask and leaves Argenis a bloody corpse. Mariposa takes the mic from Melissa, and gives it to Marty. He creeps on Melissa, and tosses the mask at her, says that this is not the match he wants, he wants Fenix’s mask at Ultima Lucha Tres. Marty calls out Fenix, who arrives and lays out Marty and Mariposa. Melissa joins Fenix in the ring, and Fenix accepts the match, but he wants (máscara contra cabellera) mask vs. hair!

Sexy Star vs. Joey Ryan: Ryan got involved in Star’s match with Veneno/Cortez Castro last week. Star attacks at the bell, working strikes and leg kicks. Star avoids a charge and hits a tornado DDT for 2. Star follows with a head scissors, and then a cradle for 2. Star then bitch slaps Ryan, they tease a ref bump and Ryan slams her down by the hair. Taya arrives, mocking Star with a “go sexy go” sign. Star then fires back, tossing Ryan around by his chest hair and then hitting rolling suplexes for 2. The leg drop follows, she then attacks Taya on the floor and hits her with her paper sign. Back in and Ryan hits a superkick for the win. Joey Ryan defeated Sexy Star @ 4:50 via pin [*½] It wasn’t very good, and then we got another distraction finish, which they have done a ton of over the past few months. I guess they are setting up Star vs. Taya. The post match was solid.

– Ryan tries to put his lollipop in Star’s mouth but Castro attacks him with a kendo stock and sends him packing, and continuing their feud.

– Dario meets with Castro in his office. Dario is impressed, and Castro threatens to arrest him for killing Mr. Cisco. Dario books he and Ryan in a “5-0 street fight” for next week, and it will also be for an Aztec medallion. Castro accepts.

Boyle Heights Biker’s Brawl Aztec Medallion Match: Son of Havoc vs. Son of Madness: No fucking around as they braw right away. They go to the floor and Madness hits a slingshot double stomp to take control. Madness grabs a trashcan, but Havoc avoids the shot and hits Madness with it. They fight into the bleachers, and then brawl around ringside. Madness runs Havoc into some trashcans, and then throws one at him. Madness now chokes him out, who then fights back and gets shoved into the crowd. Madness follows up into the crowd, and attacks. Madness looks to toss Havoc over the railing but Havoc reverses and Madness falls to the floor. Havoc follows with a double stomp. He then misses a charge, but manages to toss Madness into the wall. They work back into the ring, and Havoc heads up top and has to roll through the 450, allowing Madness to score with a lariat. Havoc to the apron and suplexes Madness over the ropes and to the floor. Havoc follows with the suicide dive. They work back into the ring, with Havoc hitting the back handspring elbow and high cross. The double stomp and standing moonsault follows for 2. Havoc then hits the rebound cutter for 2. Madness fires up with forearm strikes, they work back and forth and Madness hits a brainbuster for the near fall. Madness is pissed that he couldn’t put Havoc away. Madness goes under the ring and grabs a beer bottle and toolbox. He tosses a trashcan in, and looks for a powerbomb, but then hits a DVD onto the trashcan for a near fall. Madness now grabs a hammer, but Havoc avoids and cuts him off. havoc grabs the beer bottle, breaks it over Madness’ face and then hits the shooting star press for the win. Son of Havoc defeated Son of Madness @ 13:20 via pin [***¾] This was a very good main event, with a hot crowd and both guys playing to the stipulation well. Havoc gets his colors back, and now has a direction as he is now locked into the Gift of The Gods title match at Ultima Lucha Tres.

Who Holds Aztec Medallions?
* Paul London, Saltador, Mala Suerte, and Son of Havoc.

– End scene.

– Thanks for reading.

The final score: review Good
The 411
Outside of the main event, there wasn’t a lot to write home about wrestling wise. The good news is that they continued angles, set matches for the next two weeks and set more things in motion for the big four night, Ultima Lucha Tres spectacular. And that’s really the most important thing.
