Deonna Purrazzo has named potential tag-team partners in AEW who would fit naturally alongside her in the current women’s division. The comments were made during an interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.
The discussion comes as AEW’s women’s division continues to feature multiple tag team pairings. Current combinations include Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron, as well as teams involving Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa. Other duos, such as Julia Hart and Skye Blue, have also been featured in recent programming.
Purrazzo pointed to Britt Baker as a logical partner, noting their shared history from previous promotions. Their past interactions could build the pairing into one that audiences already understand, given their established rivalry and familiarity.
“I love the whole concept of Vendetta so much. But I think another natural answer, and she’s not on TV right now, is Britt Baker. I think there’s so much history naturally between the two of us that you don’t necessarily need to produce the vignettes for people to understand. I think another person, this is kind of out of left field, but the Renegade Twins. I like to say that they’re my younger sisters because if you look at me and Charlette we actually look more alike than her and Robyn do.”
She also mentioned the Renegade Twins, consisting of Charli Renegade and Robyn Renegade, as another option. Purrazzo referenced her earlier support for the Renegade Twins during their tryout period outside AEW, noting that she had previously recommended them for opportunities. The twins later signed with AEW, where they have since been featured across television and Ring of Honor programming.
“I love them. I think that when the world gets to see them as a full package, because I wanted them to come into TNA back when I was still there and we had the tag division. They had a tryout in Atlanta and I was begging, ‘Sign them, sign them, sign them.’ Literally weeks later, they were signed at AEW. So I just am excited to see what their future holds. But I also claim them as my younger sisters.”
Purrazzo indicated that forming a tag team could be a direction she is open to pursuing within AEW. While no official pairing has been announced, her comments highlight potential combinations that could be explored in future storylines.
